Superb transitions and mix of media

May be a little light on the story side of things but has such memorable transitions and mix of animation and lice actions that you don't slight it too much.

Nah

Weird, odd, disjointed, disappointing. Nice production values but... story?

Whoever gave this a 10/10 has some very unusual way of rating films.

The actress was a standout though. The so called nomads seemed pretty squeaky clean for a pack of post apocalyptic marauders.

Silly sentimental 007ish crap that only held me in for the first season due to its premise. Te number of times characters said "I love you" made me want to throw up. No way am I going to view any further episodes. Editing was above average, acting was generally second rate, story lines were good but for a complex plot it sorely lacked intelligence and in the end any viewer with an IQ over 50 could drive a road train through the story's inconsistencies and dumb***t failings

Compliance (2012)
9/10
stunning, chilling and essential
30 September 2012
I can't believe this is getting a 6/10 score. This is my first review and it's fueled by the urge to alert IMDb users to an extraordinary film. You can get the plot from other reviewers but essentially the camera-work, directing, script, sound and acting are absolutely spot on. The director has nailed the void of our fast food lives and the repulsive plasticity of human nature. Watching it made me recall those experiments in the 60s conducted by Milgram where a psychologist set up a mock trial and had volunteers issue a series of electric shocks to students went they answered questions incorrectly. The students were in on the real experiment but those administrating the shocks were completely unaware of the real nature of the tests. Compliance shows us just like those who perpetrated crimes in Nazi Germany, Cambodia, Syria, the Congo or in the time of Spanish Inquisition, everyday people need so little to be transformed into monsters.

Again see this movie. It's profoundly unsettling but necessary viewing.

Supern radio doc about the Milgram experiments can be found on ABC radio national
