Metal legends turned Californian fake
23 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Have you ever wished you didn't watch your idol talking? Over 2.5 hours of fakes talking nonsense while believing they're changing the world with a few kind words. Vomit

I absolutely Love Metallica music. This was such a disappointing showcase of fakes suffocating the performance with saccharin intentions and thoughts.

The concert was tame compared to a live audience, clearly executive boxes lined the 3 front rows at the stage.

The californian attitudes were as genuine as a plastic bauble hanging on a plastic Christmas tree, manufactured in China in July.

Finally, Lars Ulrich is a Legend drummer but please I want to the future tape his mouth shut!

Exquisite Amuse Bouche
21 November 2022
This story begins gently with a mismatched group of customers boarding a boat, ferried to a master chef's island restaurant. Intrigue between the characters evolves into terror and horror.

The plot, while very entertaining, has some twists and turns. Second guessing is not worth while here as the story moves along too quickly.

Ralph Fiennes is hypnotising playing yet again another complex character. The other actors present less palatable, yet all too often self involved people.

Enjoyable ending makes for a refreshing experience. Definitely one that remains on the palette afterwards for a while.

Usual Disney+ meak offering
6 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Why oh why can't Disney+ not get it together in the writers department. Good actors and interesting characters but an over delivery of cgi. Unsatiating end product that could not hold my attention throughout the 6 episodes. I held on till the last episode but felt let down.

My final thoughts, surprisingly, were that I'm now accustomed to feeling underwhelmed by mediocre storyline.

Respectful nod to the brand
5 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Excellent direction, tastefully dark, good acting. Strong start to a new trilogy.

I'd like to see Pattinson grow into the role more as Bruce Wayne. Previous actors such as Keaton, Bale and Affleck to mention a few were capable of showing the playboy's charisma. I understand this is set in year 2 of the Batman, a dark time when Bruce was becoming a crime fighter so I am hopeful that Pattinson developes the role to the fullest.

The same can also be said of Alfred, Selina Kyle and Jim Gordon. Much to come plus hopefully an interesting Lucis Fox.

Colin Farrell, what a performance too!

Abstract, poignant, hammed up performance

Warning: Spoilers
There was a strong attempt at an art house movie but this am dram performance felt over emphasised to the level known as cringe worthy. Would not recommend.

Predictable, over-hyped, scriptless
13 January 2022
Painful. Half way through my family began ripping this apart sarcastically. Big actor names disappointingly add little gravitas to a barely scripted waffle. It felt like a retirement payday for some of the older actors and I was amazed to see a promised sequel at the end of the movie after a terrible storyline.

MCU /Disney really need to get their act together here, as yet again another churned out production. Churned milk has a satisfying product at the end anyway! Seriously, what's up with the script writers in this company, two predictable plot twists a 4 year old can see at least 20 minutes before arriving.

In its entirety over reaching, over ambitious and under rewarding.

Hawkeye (2021)

Predictable and practically scriptless
3 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Directionless, poorly scripted and very disappointing. Felt like Hawkeye was being back benched and retired in this juvenile venture. I watched the whole season waiting for each following episode to take off and the story arc to explode. In hindsight, wasted investment. Felt like a highly anticipated meal that ended up tasting like cardboard. No shortage on budget as the quality of backdrops and cgi was available but direction and script were a massive let down.

Poor script and barely a direction
11 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
If it wasn't for Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, this movie was sunk. Sometimes it felt like the actors were baffled by the poor storyline and pointless direction. One of those movies you watch and ponder one word at the end. Why?

Shockingly cringy
25 April 2021
Big payday for actors to portray unlikeable characters. I cringed with this season, if there's another one they really need a believable antagonist.

Decent 1st season. 2nd season pure trash
25 April 2021
What a good series turned into pure utter tripe. Finished season 2 tonight to numerous groans by the family. Dreadful plot, direction, acting. Reminded me very much of amateur dramatics at a local parish group.

Very disappointed that such good actors display such wooden portrayals of paper thin and scripts. The fact this gets 8.0 review is hilarious and I definitely won't be watching a 3rd season should it be greenlighted.

Weak performance ruined possibilities
13 June 2007
It was obvious that this movie is designed to appeal to the Chick Flick audience, to which i have sat through quite a few and enjoyed most. However, this was a very irritating attempt by Heather Graham to become the next Meg Ryan ( who became annoying as hell in her own right ). Her acting was overdone and it appeared that she was overanxious compared to her colleagues who were relaxed in their roles. This film might have been more, as there was suitable budget for settings, actors and a decent story line. My wife and I both agreed that this was 'Muck' at the end, as the film ended on a painful embarrassing high! Better luck next time, hope Miss Graham sticks to the type of films that she belongs in like From Hell.
