Pantheon (2022)
A Masterpiece
I do not remember how I stumbled upon this series, but I do remember it persisting in my watchlist for some time, like something in me was telling me that this is not to be missed. And how true that feeling was!
The first season needs a bit to pick up and you are trying to wrap your head around the science and the theory but in the end you are hooked, and then comes the second season. The second is unfathomable, it's unbelievably good and takes you on a philosophical and existential journey so organically. Every episode of the second season widens the scope almost exponentially.
I consider it to be one, if not the, of the BEST series I ve ever watched, animated AND live-action, and I think it's criminal that more people haven't discovered it yet.
For me it's a marvel. Please give it a chance.
The Old Guard (2020)
Episode not movie
I had a nice time watching this movie, however I expected more as far as the story was concerned. The material was really interesting and the characters could be developed immensely. I really wanted to learn more about them and their past adventures. It was like getting a small taste, like a pilot of a new series and then... it ended, with a cliffhanger no less.
They should have made a series or a miniseries with this idea. It would be much much more preferable.
It saddened me.
After (2019)
Unexpected
When I saw the title/plot, I thought, ok, it was another bad boy meets good girl movie. Of course, I have a weakness for romance films, in general, so I wanted to see it. It was not what I expected. Yes, it is "bad boy falls for good girl and vice versa" but was done so beautifully and, I think, realistically.
It's much more sweet than expected or marketed and it's a pity.
It is really very watchable, very easy. I actually was impressed.
Bravo.
As far as the acting is concerned, well, it's a movie about young love in college and a drama, so, pretty average, but it's ok. Personally, it didnt take anything from my viewing.
It's cute, try it if you want a romance and you are fan of these movies. Or read the book, (I haven't, didn't know it was based on a book anyway), it's enjoyable.
The Morning Show (2019)
Incredible
Fantastic show. Jennifer Aniston like you've never seen her before.
Amazing performances and a script that cuts to the bone.
Bravo!
I was thinking to rate it 8, it didn't feel right, I considered 9, again, not right. It's a clear 10 for me, deserving it through and through.
This Is Your Death (2017)
Chilling
A chilling movie, a terrifying idea that is not that improbable to see being realised in future times if we keep going like this. Generally good performances, I think the role suited Josh Duhamel and he did a good job.
There was crying involved.
Watch it.
Lyod (2018)
Beautiful
What a fantastic film!! Of course some things were of the "only in the movies" variety but the sentiment is so powerful that you do not care at all. In the last scene I was bawling my eyes out. What an incredible energy! It is the second time in my life that I try a russian movie and like the first time I am not disappointed in the least.
If you love sports movies like I do, you're surely gonna enjoy this. Besides, the male protagonist is SO cheerful that he's gonna make your day.
The Magicians: All That Josh (2018)
PERFECT
I just watched this episode and I am speechless. I love this series, every episode is a gem but this episode is a sparkling diamond. Music and The Magicians (it sounds like a band, no?), what more can you need in your life? Perfection
