Also, is the son Indian? He doesn't look like the son of either one of the parents and not to mention both of them. I really hope there's a twist to all my doubts in the end. I just have to continue watching. My bad!

I haven't finished the movie yet but I would like to add this comment before I forget. First of all, the kids, they are unattractive, even as in a horror movie where cast is supposed to be a bit quirky. Charlie is obviously not a kid, and not a kid of 13. At first, I was thinking there was a twist to it, and until she's dead, there's none. I thought she was just a person who never grew old, and her grandma might somehow had replaced a dead grandchild with this "kid" for her daughter, etc. But no, she's just a ordinary strange kid that might be in communication with the dead grandma that they had to finish some kind of rituals together.

I don't know who wrote this plot. The whole story contain 10+ points that don't add up!!!! Taking ONE tablet of sleeping pill can cause you drown in your own bath?? And I don't know the 72 hours memory recuperating period and then after that you can't erase the memory anymore and WTF, memory can't be restored the second time???! So confusing! The dialog was ridiculous. It's to add a lot of turns to the story, without much sense. The scriptwriter wants so much to write an edgy detective film but in my opinion, everything has fallen apart, it's so fake to a point I feel like an idiot if I continue watching this film. But the framing is not bad, so good cinematography with a plot written by a 10-year-old boy. The cell in the police station is something to laugh about: 1) Why would you lock one suspect with another one? Oh, right! Cuz something had to happen between them later! Childish! 2) That basement was HUGE but only contained ONE cell in the middle! Silence of the Lamb?? But those two were not Dangerous Criminals!!! What is going on?

Just a few more points to think: 1. Why would this man involve in this investigation so desperately in the very first place? And even those 2 detectives wanted to kick him out so badly??! Then out of nowhere, he's worried about this wife, and even forced the other "inmate" to swallow the razor so he could get out. My god, everything happened for the next thing to happen, it's so obviously in a way, it's so stupid! Then, after a few scenes, he forgot about his wife anymore, and just concentrated on finding the murderer for them! And if he thought his wife was in danger. Why didn't he ask help from the police first, and if they refused, then he could try something on his own. The whole thing is so not convincing. Worst script written ever! 2. Have you ever tried this: you were submitted to a hospital. And a doctor suddenly showed up at your doorstep to bring you medication. Fine, that lady opened the door. And she didn't even feel surprised about this "medi delivery". She invited her to come in and chat. OK, let's say this doctor had a crush on her. That's fine. But then, the concert tickets?? Really? Everything was so fake! 3. Obviously that lady carried only this tote bag with her when she visited. So probably her mobile phone or wallet was in it even she drove? And she could wait till the night for the concert to have it brought back to her. I don't know~ If I were the Director, I wouldn't have let this film to happen this way. Scriptwriter is to be blamed, so as the Director! 4. I don't know what I was watching anymore~ It's been a long time I haven't had such a ridiculous movie. It's not good or bad, it's lousy!

I will check who the scriptwriter is and avoid EVERY film he's involved. Nothing original. Everything is copied and not thoroughly copied! I wish he or she would have done better than that! I am Chinese, but I am ashamed of such a work done! If one wants to make a Chinese version of Vanilla Sky + Different Elements! Good idea! But do it well! If you can't handle it. Don't do it! I can't forgive that many flaws even it's a first attempt! Don't understand viewers giving it more than 5 stars~ Music is OK, but that's it!

This film is a complete rubbish! The plot was empty. All the shots were hollow; momentum was not built properly. The whole development was just a BS and not convincing. Acting was mediocre. They just tried too hard and it had become ridiculously fake. A lot of scenes just didn't make any sense! I will stay away from any future production from Wes Ball. I have to say, he really did a bad job in this movie. There was this scene, 'Teresa' decided to leave behind to save Thomson's life. The way she's falling to the sea of flames. It's purely lame. It's like I were watching a superhero film my lord. If I were alone, I would have left half an hour through the film! Nothing authentic or genuine about this film. I left the theatre with a lot of anger.
