The Best Movie of All Time
5 October 2003
L. Frank Baum's beloved Classic the Wonderful Wizard of Oz is brought to life in this dazzling Musical! When 12year-old Dorothy is whisked away from her Kansas home by a Cyclone, she lands on the Wicked Witch of the East, in the Marvelous Land of Oz! Glinda, the Good Witch of the North gives her the magical Ruby Slippers & tells her that the only chance of getting home is to follow the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City to meet the Great & Powerful Wizard of Oz! Along the way she meets a Scarecrow who wants a brain, a Tin Man who longs for a heart, & a Cowardly Lion in desperate need of Courage! When they finally meet the great Oz, he tells them they must kill the Witch of the West & bring him her broom-stick! see the movie to find out if Dorothy makes it home.

This is a classic & fun for the whole family. Although it was filmed in 1939 & was one of the 1st films in Technicolor, it is timeless! With special effects which can still captivate the young mind. A must see for any fan of Fantasy & adventure!

This Was Supposed to Be Good?
14 April 2003
I have seen many Oz Films & I am THE WORLD'S BIGGEST OZ FAN, but this is the 2nd Worst Oz film I have ever seen! Toto wasn't even a dog! The costumes were cheap! Lines were changed horribly! I rented this on VHS, well there is $1 im not gonna see again.

Baum's True Vision
14 April 2003
This film is very faithful to Baum's novels. It is a great film all except the mental hospital part which was original on Disney's part. The special effects are good for the time & the costumes are wonderful! I suggest you see it! Not Recommended for Children Under 7 Years Old.
