Greg's Finest Adventure
4 August 2012
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days stars Greg Heffley, a middle schooler who is just trying to have a fun summer, however his Summer plans are different than most others, playing video games all day. Things get complicated when his dad disagrees, a dog comes into the family, and all sorts of trouble breaks loose.

When I first saw Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, I was very impressed, the film was great and it seemed like nothing could beat the sequel, it was much better than the first film. But when I saw Dog Days in the theaters I was amazed, it might have even been better. Loads of times the audience in the theater was cracking up due to some hilarious jokes. The actors did a great job, it's obvious Zachary and Robert have grown skill when it comes to acting, as they are able to deliver their lines well. The dad was probably my favorite character, his hilarious reactions and timing is just hilarious.

The entire movie flowed well, no moments felt dry, and that can be a big problem with some movies today. There will be spaces that just feel empty and leave you to wait 5 minutes for something to happen. But the 2 Wimpy Kid sequels don't have that problem, they always leave something going on. Now, from what I understand some people have called this movie to be too "Childish". I really don't find that true, sure, the books are aimed a little more for kids, as well as the movies. But adults can find the movie just as enjoyable. Many adults in the theaters were laughing along with the kids.

Overall, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, is a great, fun, enjoyable film for the family. I can't wait to see what the studio is going to do next!

In the year 1984, a classic was made. Like no other, this was "The Terminator"
9 July 2011
Arnold Schwarzenegger, what can you say of the man? He has appeared in the worst of the worst, yet he slowly climbed to fame. His most memorable franchise is no doubt "The Terminator" franchise. The film is directed by James Cameron and he truly brings the screen to life. You can feel what the characters are feeling. Fear, excitement, and hope.

The films soundtrack is also the most fitting soundtrack for a movie besides "The Graduate" soundtrack. It's a dark soundtrack just like the movie. The film takes place in 1984, where Kyle Reese travels back in time to save Sarah Conner from a future machine. A improbable relationship blossoms between Reese and Sarah as they battle the machine. I don't want to give away and plot twists, so I won't go into any more detail. The action is awesome, and the effects are way ahead of its time.

This sci-fi film is on par with Star Wars. "The Terminator" has its little charm that no other film will ever have. Not even its sequels. Although "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" is perhaps even better than the 1st movie. I am aware of the T.V. show, I have seen several episodes and the show does not even come close to this film. If you don't have this movie, you need to close your browser, use the most convenient transportation device, ride to your local video store. Find the film and take it to the cashier. Hand the cashier how ever much money it costs. Take the film with you and return to your house. Put the film in a DVD-Player/VHS player. And watch the film, it's that good!

The Graduate (1967)

Stand Up Tall Mrs. Robinson! God in Heaven Smiles on Those Who Pray!
8 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
The Graduate from 1967 is a masterpiece in almost all aspects. It features a phenomenal cast including Dustin Hoffman, as Benjamin Braddock, a shy and nervous college graduate who is uncertain about his future. Anne Bancroft, as Mrs. Robinson. A business partner of Ben's father. And Katherine Ross as Elaine Robinson. The daughter of Mrs. Robinson who Ben falls in love with.

The film gradually starts as a simple comedy but then it becomes more deep into plot as trouble evolves. The basic story is about Ben Braddock, a recent college graduate who is seduced by Mrs. Robinson and they begin to have an affair. Then Ben goes out on a date with Elaine Robinson, Mrs. Robinson's daughter, much to Mrs. Robinson's annoyance. A relationship between Ben and Elaine blossom. But Mrs. Robinson does everything in her power to put a stop to the relationship.

The directing is incredible. This film won an "Oscar" for Best Directing, and it deserved it. The zooms are done very nicely and the camera angles are way ahead of its times. The film also features a soundtrack by Simon and Garfunkel. It's incredible. It's the best movie soundtrack I have ever heard. I bought the soundtrack. That's how good it is.

All in all, The Graduate is a great film. If you don't have it, than what are you reading my review for? Go out and get it, because its that good.
