I enjoyed this more than I expected, though the trailer did spoil a lot of the best scenes. The story was basic yes, but the casting was on point and there were a lot of dancing and singing. Lots of tongue in cheek comedy with the exceptional Rowan Atkinson, who played a chocoholic pastor.

Timothée Chalamet can sing and dance (a young Hugh Jackman in the making); he was a joy to watch! The rest of the cast was just as good. The music was really memorable too (the oompa loompah song will be stuck in your head for a bit). Speaking of the song: Hugh Grant's casting as the orange little minions was genius!

So if you enjoy musicals, go watch Wonka, you won't be disappointed! Oh and be forewarned: you will be craving chocolate after watching the movie!

Had such high expectations from this movie; it's the year of the biopics it seems.

I expected action woven with drama. But when you try too many things you do everything kinda averagely.

Phoenix is a phenomenal actor but while he had a few great scenes, the writing was so all over the place that his reactions didn't make any sense to me. The battle scenes were very well made and the scale of the production feels big but again when you have poorly written script, it doesn't matter what your actors, cinematographer, special effects people, etc, do. It's gonna flop. Game of thrones, Rings of power and now Napoleon all showcase that. It's a bummer cause those were tv productions at the end of the day and they are comparable imo to this.

Hopefully it's the cuts that made the movie so difficult to follow and a lesson to be learned here.

Tldr: Definitely skip this one and go watch Oppenheimer (maybe even again).

Excellent pilot, I loved the introduction to this new series! The setting, the music and the characters are all familiar, paying an homage to the original show but still holding its own.

I terribly missed Westeros and House of the Dragon is extremely promising.

We have the usual mix of gore and nudity of course, but what made thrones great is all the power hungry individuals that stopped at nothing to claim it. We do see the seeds of that and all the casting was on point. Ramin's music score is still brilliant, and I loved the credits scene (albeit too short).

Matt Smith is perfection and I for one am really excited to see what HBO has in store for us!!

Grandfathered was a nice surprise! The show is about a sworn bachelor that finds out that he has not only a son but a granddaughter too! The pilot was spoiled by the promo I watched before but still I found it enjoyable. You cannot compare this to strong comedy shows like "modern family" but maybe to shows like "baby daddy" where the main idea is the same: (almost)grown-ups trying to come in terms with parenthood. Not an original idea of course but the execution here is a successful one. John Stamos is doing a good job as the grandpa and the chemistry between the cast is nice too. Paget is lovely in comedy as she can really keep up a straight face when saying something hilarious (Parenthood is pretty much an endless string of moments where you think you've killed your kid.<-I liked that quote) I just watched episode 4 and I have to say that I like that show: it's really sweet, the chemistry is right and there lots of ways to evolve it; this is exactly why I really like family comedy. I really hope this show lasts more than one season!
