One of the funniest movies i have seen!
30 November 2012
This movie was excellent and funny as hell...

Seriously see this movie, i bought this one at a used DVD shop thinking it may be worth a watch. and I was pleasantly surprised by how funny this movie was.

Basically: Awesome acting especially by Lawrence, Robbins and McGinley. Awesome script, Steve Oedekerk had to be high or something. It's so delightfully random but the again standard comedy that we can all enjoy.

The scene with the security guard and his 2 hours of dancing (Just watch the film!)

Pretty sure it's "ONE" of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

A cool, innovative twist to the exploitation genre.
24 October 2012
After watching The Whore I could not wait for the sequel, as it would be on a bigger budget and much more original than the first one.

I was not sure what to expect when I was going to watch it, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Renert Kiil's new film. It was very original and innovative mixing reality and horror... It was somehow impressive.

The only thing I actually did expect were much more violence, gore and brutality. But Kiil played more on the psychological than the physical horror in this film, And this was not a bad thing.

But of course there is gore, And the gore effects are pretty good, and realistic, witch is important in this kind of "Meta-action" / "Mockumentary".

Anyways, I was not disappointed at this film the only thing I can really complain about is that now and then. At certain points, the film gets a little boring and nothing happens.

And now on to the DVD, from Another World Entertainment in Norway, it had lot of great extras and a nice booklet/comic book inside. And to all of you that does not understand a single word Norwegian and are going to buy this copy, Just so you know "Kiil Productions" have tampered with the subtitles so when maybe someone actually say: "Go away" the subtitles read: "Fuck me!" for example. (In all the languages available) And this is very funny, especially for those who understands Norwegian.

But don't worry, these few subtitles that are tempered with are not really important to the plot or anything.

This film lands on 8 stars with me.

Can't wait for the next installment... "What whores around, comes around"

Just Plain Bad
21 August 2012
This flick was far out bad (And yes i do actually like B-Films and trash) But this was so bad it made any Toma film look like it was made in Hollywood.

I did not like it. BUT i didn't hate it either. It was somewhat funny and the title just rocks. the effects does not completely suck to be made on a 0$ budget. and it somewhat also has a kind of charm.

But it gets boring and is plain silly, also the camera and audio is sometimes like watching a youtube video made by 10 year old amateurs.

...But I would still like to obtain a copy. because it rare as hell. but then again what company would even release it?

...a perfect movie for a dark summers night to all slasher and exploitation lovers.
17 August 2012
The Thrill of a Kill was a nice viewing. I got a signed copy of the AWE release by the director himself... (lots of nice extras on the DVD)

...And when I was going to see the film I did not have the highest expectations just because of the fact that this is a very low budget film.

The actors are not the best, but i loved the "Serial Killers" performance by Arve Herman Tangen and his lines are sick and delightfully disturbing. The plot is not of the most original kind, but I have seen worse and they really make it work in this one.

The gore is good but could have been maybe not better, but more of it. also cut a bit down on the CGI. But to all of you CGI-Gore haters, this is NOT a worst case scenario. It's still very much watchable.

All in all I would say that this is a perfect movie for a dark summers night to all slasher and exploitation lovers.

And Lars-Erik Lie Hope there is more to come from you... (But hopefully also on a higher budget.. hehe;P )

Lowbudget to impress

Warning: Spoilers
I got to say I was lucky getting a copy of this film shipped to Norway from Mike O'Mahony himself, it was gory, brutal and simply psychotic fun!

The film is about Mike "Sloppy" (Mike O'Mahony) getting fired from his job as a clown, and simply getting crazy from all the sh*t society has to offer, mixing alcohol and rage he takes his revenge as he finds it both s***ally and mentally pleasing. And i got to say this film made me both laugh and a little disgusted (in a good way). *SPOILER* It actually got me laughing at child murder, that whole scene was shot and acted excellent!!

Mike did a good job directing and acting the lead in this film, and the script was awesome. Dialog,Pace,Acting,Lighting and camera work are factors that usually can be a problem with independent films like this one, but Sloopy is an exception this was all good. (8 out of 10).

Funny and Refreshing
9 December 2011
After a short web-series Tommy Wirkola's story about Kurt Josef Wagle finally hits the big screen, and now he's looking for his son Tordenskjold that has gone missing in the woods with his boyfriend Troy. And Kurt is extremely sure that the Fjord witch has something to do with it.

So he and his friend Rock gaders together a crew of four people; "the psychic" Lillian Mulder, The local gun-crazed police officer Burt, the school teacher Gregor and Pablo the Spanish cameraman to head into the forest to prove that the witch is real and save Tordenskjold.

The film is excellent the best comedy from Wirkola since Kill Buljo, only this time it's The Blair Witch Prodjects turn, but all you Parody haters out there: Don't worry it's a minor part of the plot. Because not only is the film directed well, it has a lot of creative and funny material.

The acting is also werry good, the actors are doing a good job bringing these characters to life as they end up in all kinds of crazy situations.

Basiclly get your hands on a copy this is a cult film waiting to make you laugh and maybe eaven scare you a little as it is a "Horror-Comedy- Mockumentary". And please get the original version and read the subtitles to all you non-Norwegians, I bet watching a dubbed version would make it WAY to silly.

(Although it is pretty silly)

A mediocre MUST experience...
4 December 2011
This film is made on a shoelace budget, here we can see that it's taken a lot of inspiration from other rape and revenge films such as I Spit On Your Grave and Last House on the Left. And many people may see this as pure plagiarism. But this is a film made by a director with a heart for Grindhouse films and has spent every penny to get his debut completed. There are a lot of things that could have been better (Audio/Acting), but this movie is something any exploitation film fan should experience.

Watch this film, as the first Norwegian grindhouse film come to life.

Pesonaly I can't wait for the sequel. That's where The Whore really begins.
