The Faculty (1998)
Much better than I expected
When I saw this movie, I was honestly expecting something along the lines of a cheap teen-alien, cheap horror movie. But that's not what I got. I got a good, solid, alien movie.
It was almost like a whodunit type movie, that had me guessing who the queen alien was. The last person I expected to be the alien, was the alien.
Yes, there were a few plot holes, but they were soon overlooked. The special effects were very well done as well. But it was not just plot, and special effects that made this movie come together. It was the acting. Every character connected with one another in one way or another. Good acting played a major role in what made this movie so great.
This is one of the best alien movies I've seen. I give it a 8 or 9 out of 10.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
Excellent; very well done
This is definately one of the best movies I have seen. It is full of humour, wonderful acting, wonderful scenary... I don't think I could list everything.
This is definately one of Johnny Depp's best films if not the best. He is hilariously funny, and does a phenomenal job portraying Captain Jack Sparrow. Geoffery Rush also does some very good acting, as Captain Barbossa. Orlando Bloom does what he does best: plays his character wonderfully. Keira Knightly does an excellent job as Elizabeth Swann.
One thing I really like about this movie, is the actors. They don't just act out their characters, they become their characters, and make you almost believe this story really happened; they take you into the story.
The climax is excellent, the actions leading up to the climax are excellent, the special effects are excellent... everything is excellent. I give this movie a 10/10. And it is definately worth every every penny spent on making it.
The Thirteenth Year (1999)
I absolutely loved this movie
I first saw this movie on Family, and loved it. It is a wonderful work of Disney. The first time I saw it, (and the second and third times), I cried at the end. It was just one of those movies that I couldn't help but like. I've always been checking the movie listings waiting for it to come on again. I think it is a very good movie, and nothing can change my opinion.
Tuck Everlasting (2002)
Wonderful movie; wonderful acting; loved the chemistry between Jackson and Bledel is amazing!
I loved the movie! I loved the chemistry between Jonathan Jackson and Alexis Bledel. It made the movie seem more real, the love story between Winnie and Jesse more real, almost like it really happened. The acting in general was amazing. Sissy Spaceck did a wonderful job of portraying Mae, as did William Hurt (Angus) and Scott Bairstow (Miles). This movie was beautifully done. The music was wonderful. I believe this movie will make it's way into everybody's hearts, young and old.
