It has some twists and turns, none of them spectacular, but overall a nice Horror Movie.

If you're looking for a Horror Movie that keeps you interested this might do it for tonight.

It's nothing super special and it has some idiotic moments but it's enjoyable.

Story is quite okay, the effects were alrighty, cast is decent.

Just turn off your brain and give it a try, it's one of the better Wrong Turns.

I give it 7 stars because i miss stuff like this: Just a solid Horror Movie like in the old days.

This is a hard one to review without any kind of spoilers so let's talk about the reason i rated this movie higher than average. I like horror movies that give you something to think and not just jump-scare you over and over again. And this one has some really new ideas that go into this horror puzzle. There are many different aspects in the main story and the characters that are not that common. I like the kind of craziness and claustrophobic feelings that some scenes of this movie give you. Maybe the story is not enough for a long movie and could have been better for a short-movie, but for me it worked. It wasn't very scary, but it gave me this uncomfortable feeling of not getting the whole puzzle together even though the movie gives you enough clues. I would say don't expect a highly shocking film, but open your mind for a good story that basically takes place in one apartment.

First of all: This is not Matrix and it hasn't quite near the budget. But! that doesn't matter! It's a very well-done Sci-Fi-Movie with a really cool story. In the first part you're like what the hell is going on. I was really surprised how purely this movie is rated in this data base. So i read some Reviews from users who said it is about average and the main critic they have is poor acting and poor fights.

I can't agree. The fight-style is somewhat strange street-fighting, but absolutely OK. The actors are good. And the story is awesome. Yeah, there might be a time near the end of the movie when i thought OK now we could make a better step, but overall "The Anomaly" is pretty good. It's much like Matrix, but more atmosphere like in Equilibrium. Both movies are better than this one but slightly. You have to see that this is still a low-budget film and for that it's great! Don't expect perfection, but i absolutely enjoyed this Sci-Fi-Puzzle!

I have some problems with the tempo of the film. It is a bit slow developing and i feel like the story is a bit too transparent and predictable. As you would expect it's all about a puzzle to solve and it comes down to a dramatic final. Depending on your experience and expectations you might find it little surprising or maybe emotional. But on the other hand the movie is well-made and has a good atmosphere so it's totally fine for a rainy day to watch. It's done professional with good direction, good actors, good music and a good script. Only the story-telling could have been a bit more subtle. Don't expect overwhelming intelligence, but an interesting story with some good moments.
