Extremely overrated
20 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but honestly this movie is overrated and boring. 2 hours felt like 3 and a half.

I don't buy the whole thing where he is invited to the show. The meta "standup" he made was extremely dull and boring. Then gets allowed to broadcast for that long without being interrupted, also being transported in the most shitty police-car ever after that, it's just not believeable enough to me.

He also acted the same when he was on meds aswell as off, so that part didn't make sense either. The police must also be really not catching this guy faster after the homocide.

It has some good parts but they can be boiled down to maybe 5 minutes. Is this a movie I would watch again? Probably not.

Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
Season 8, Episode 3

Really?
29 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
After all these years we end up with this trainwreck.

First of all something is up with the darkness & sound of this episode (technical). It feels like fighting sounds are missing, maybe this was a decision they took to make the music louder, but it didn't work for me at least.

Night King totally ruined, I at least expected a dialog of some kind or some twist where Bran was the night king or just anything else except Arya jumping in like super-mario saving the day.

Oh and how convenient to have all the other walkers die aswell Lord of the rings style, but, am I watching lotr? No!

Also, all the important characters surviving after all? Really?

Nope this is not it and I can't wrap my head around how the show turned out this way. Season 6 with BoTB and winds of winter was amazing.

Garbage
18 November 2018
Absolute garbage. Why?

Well, no plot for 2 hours, might aswell show me the first 5 minutes and the last 10. The rest of the time is just a complete transport track to the end.

Even more unpersonal soul-lacking random CGI-creatures than the first movie just for the heck of it.

I have no idea what I really saw, since there was basically no plot.

Stay away and save your time and money.

Fantastic entertainment!
31 October 2017
This movie is fantastic. The colors, the vibe, the humor, the action, it just makes me want to see it again. Marvel nailed it once more, to be honest this is even better than guardians of the galaxy.

And Korg, my god whoever came up with the idea for this character is a comedic genius.

The only thing I think is weird is the look of Hulk, something just looks weird about him, he looks too plastic/CGI or something.

I definitely would recommend this movie, great entertainment!

There are no stakes
7 July 2017
Hey everyone! (He did not say this in Civil War)

Just saw Spiderman Homecoming and feeling disappointed.

The problem with this movie is, just like Civil War in my opinion:

There are no stakes.

It just feels like something is missing, it felt predictable. It's high- tech Spiderman joking around never really feeling like he was put to a real challenge. At times it felt like I was watching a prolonged video-game cutscene due to the huge amount of CGI. Also some of the casting felt very misplaced. (ex Flash & May).

Maybe I'm just tired of seeing another new Spiderman. Tobey Maguire and Spiderman 1-2 is still the best so far.

Love the look of the suit though.

100x times better than The Force Awakens
7 January 2017
I'd say this is Star Wars Episode 3,5. It feels like Star Wars because it has:

New unique/weird characters, Humor, A story, Fits right into the Star Wars universe. And the ending... Wow.

You know they made something right when one of the most likable characters is a droid, business as usual, it's Star Wars were talking about!

What really makes me sad is how they could pull of this movie so good, but completely screw up the disaster called Episode 7. TFA doesn't fit into the Star Wars universe... at all.

Definitely worth watching if you're a Star Wars fan.

Fantastic CGI and where to find it...
16 November 2016
OK, let me try to sum this up.

First of all I'd like to point out that this is not necessarily a bad movie, it will keep you entertained. You got a decent plot (yet fairly predictive), you got humor, and you got somewhat interesting characters.

HOWEVER, what you got most of is CGI, CGI and... CGI. I grew up with the Harry Potter movies and every time a new one came out I was always excited to see what new cool stuff they might of added with the latest technology.

These days you can animate almost anything and therefor some of that magic (no pun intended) you had before is now lost. I simply do not get impressed by the "fanastic beasts", I only see a blob of CGI that I can't relate to, they do not feel like a part of the real world, and there is just so many of them that after a while they end up giving me a headache.

During one part of the movie I ended up wondering if I'm not in fact watching The Avengers or X-Men. There's also one scene that reminded me very much of a particular scene from Star Wars, (You'll get it).

Do I recommend this movie? Well if you don't mind the things I just mentioned, you might like it.

It's just a mess
3 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This movie tries to be so much but ends up being a real mess.

Where do I begin? Character introduction runs for almost 40 minutes and I still don't end up giving a damn about anyone.

Jokes are often very misplaced and feels extremely forced. Many scenes feels like they were made solely for sake of the trailer and also the trailer resembles nothing of what the actual movie is like.

CGI is so off that I divide the movie into 2 teams, CGI-team and real team, and I keep ending up thinking how the ***k is human team going to beat world consuming superman-like characters.

However I do like the look of the Villains, especially Enchantress.

Maybe this film is the best thing for DC Universe superfans, but for the casual viewer it's very hard to get a grip of this movie, at least for me it was.

Absolutely fantastic horror!
16 July 2016
This movie is absolutely excellent, I enjoyed every minute of it. Seen it 2 times in the cinemas.

I don't know what it is exactly that James Wan manage to do to keep the scare factor at max all the time, maybe he simply knows what's truly scary and not?

The sound design is extremely good and I do think it plays a huge role in terms of the scare factor. I also love how the movie delivers truly aggressive horror where the main characters either have to chose fight or flight.

I'd say this is one of the best horror movies I've seen ever. I also think this movie is even better than the first one. I would absolutely recommend this movie!

Warcraft (2016)

An incredibly immersive movie!
1 June 2016
This is my fairly short review of Warcraft: The Beginning.

First of all I really think this movie should be seen in an IMAX theater for the best image and audio quality possible. Why? Because this movie has got some of the best CGI I've seen in recent days.

Everything is such a bliss to look at, the orcs, the props, the spells and the world of Warcraft. All of this comes with a great soundtrack that adds to the magical feeling.

The only drawback is that there's almost too much plot squeezed into 2 hours. At times this made it hard to follow what was going on as the pacing is really fast. I feel like the movie needed at least 30 more minutes of character development and to make the pacing a bit slower.

Do I recommend this movie? Yes! I'm actually going to see it a second time in the cinema.
