Plane Dumb (1932)
"Plane" Racist
I was under assumption that this was the cat and mouse duo but it wasn't instead it was something that shouldn't have been made not even for its time. They disguise themselves in the "blackface" fashion because they fly to Africa and they even act like Stepin Fetchit and all the others rolled into one. There are some cartoons that are racist but they are classics, being a mixed woman I have the right to say this, but if you are into the historical aspect of these cartoons try Merrie Melodies "Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs" or "Angel Puss" you won't find them on DVD because the distributors promised not to put them in the mainstream, but you can find them on a site as YouTube. I don't recommend little kids seeing this but if you want to see how early America was racist and ignorant these are better suggestions, not to mention this particular cartoon has poor animation, i know it was 1932, but I have seen better for its time.
"Plane" unnecessary. -1 out of 10.
Gigli (2003)
Very Slow..
The only Oscar this movie was associated with was Oscar Mayer.
What a piece of bologna!
I was very sad to see Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck star in a movie this way.
I also think their "engagement" had something to do with the fact that the movie didn't make good reviews. People got tired of them.
But I decided to see it, and the money I wasted to rent it, I could have bought a pack of cigarettes.
If I am going to waste minutes of my life, at least I am going to die happy.

The New Price Is Right (1972)
Good game show, but gradually declining.
I am 21 and I have watched this show since I was 12. I love the funny outtakes from the contestants, but I have to say that right now that the prizes are getting worse as everyday goes by. There was even one episode that did not give away a new car. The showcases are nothing that interest anyone and there has been a lot of passing (showcases) to the other contestant. I like the new announcer (Rich Fields) but will never take the place of the dulcet tones of Rod Roddy. I give it 5 out of 10 due to the fact that I commend Bob Barker for asking people to spay or neuter their pets, also the models that are very pretty. But I give this show about 5 years max due to the fact of inflation, loss of interest, and not so good prizes.
Soul Plane (2004)
I wasted 2 hours of my life, AND I WANT IT BACK!!!
May contain spoilers! Don't feel bad, this movie is already spoiled anyway.
I am a mixed female, my father is black, my mother is white, and I have to say this is a film that has all of the racist stereotypes that you can imagine rolled up into one little bundle, stereotypes of black and white, I might add. I watched this DVD with a free rental coupon from Movie Gallery and even for free I will not watch this again.
This movie displayed (us) blacks as nothing but Malt Liquor drinking, fried chicken eating, sexually promiscuous, weed smoking, drug using idiots. It is an insult to the black community and the white as well.
It was not even funny, the same jokes were used over and over, and some of the parts such as when Snoop was making the announcement over the microphone. This movie stinks, pure garbage, Garbage stinks for a reason, but this movie, was just plain unnecessary. My rating: -0.00000000000001 out of 10.
Table for Five (1983)
Good Movie But too Long..
I liked the way this movie showed a father's love. And the kids were great actors, It showed Jon Voight in his good looking days and the countries that they went to were awesome. But no offense but the movie is a little bit two long and it might want to make you want to watch something else.. I had to watch it in 2 parts on Showtime.. but it is a good movie nonetheless. and the ending? well i'm not going to spoil it for you but you have to see for yourself why i comment on it so. my rating for this movie I give it a 6.. it would have gotten an 8 but it is kind of slow..
Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987)
Great Movie! Never Gets Old Each Time I Watch It!
I'm not going to say that this is my favorite movie, but it is a good movie that never gets old. even the edited version on TV is great also. John Candy and Steve Martin were the only people I think that could be in a movie like this. no other combination would have made it as great as it is. Neal Page and Del Griffith learned about how each other were and used each other's characteristics to help them get home. And one more thing. I know the movie had some language in it, but there was no reason for this movie to be rated R. Even with the cussing and even if it is edited, it still is a good movie for the family. On a scale of 1-10 i give it a 13.
Family Matters (1989)
Good show until Urkel showed up.
When Family Matters came on it was my favorite show about an African American family with no common stereotypes. But there were a few things that made the show very inconsistent. Judy was on the show for less than 3 years. She went upstairs and never came back. Also Little Richie (Joseph Julius Wright) was replaced by Bryton McClure, not that it was a major problem but his mother Rachel (Telma Hopkins)was mysteriously gone. Also in the last season Harriette was replaced with a much younger Harriette. Did the producers really think that viewers wouldn't notice these changes? Also Stefan, Myrtle Urkel, Bruce Lee Urkel, Albert Einstein Urkel, and Elvis Urkel were funny but not necessary. It was a great show to watch, it was very funny until about the 5th or 6th season when Urkel started developing muscles and getting too tall to be playing a nerd. I think he himself was getting tired of it. I stopped watching it when it moved to CBS because I knew it wasn't going to last long anyway. But no matter what anyone says Carl and Harriette (the 1st one) will always be my favorite characters and it is going to be a part of television history. Family Matters would probably still be aired today if the kept Urkel out of the script and left it just the way it was.
