Archetypes (2022)
That woman is obsessed with herself yet doesn't know herself at all
Boring. Me me me. How is it a podcast when all she does is talk very slowly (and pseudo-intellectually) about herself.
The best thing was Mariah calling her a diva and her having a conniption about it. She is a diva...the bad kind not the Mariah and Celine kind.
I never liked her but now I actually kind of hate her. She did herself no favors by making it all about her. She's a crap human and that shines right through. Everything about her just screams narcissism and self obsession.
It killed me that she talked for 10 minutes before she let her "friend" Serena even speak. And even then, she continued to interrupt her.
She has zero self awareness. I guess that's a part of narcissism. She sees herself as so interesting and she is absolutely not.
I really hope this podcast is cancelled. It's just boring.
1899 (2022)
It kept me watching but sorry I did
I watched it all but I'm kind of sorry I did. Just not my thing.
I like to binge-watch while I crochet. I had to pay attention which slowed down my crochet. It was semi-entertaining but also boring ?? Odd.
I'm pretty easily amused with movies and TV. If it makes me want to watch, it's good enough for me. This one is just weird to me with the combo of having to watch to try to figure out what's going on, but also boring.
Lots of character arcs that meant absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. I honestly don't know why half the characters were even there. Like I said, odd. And the ending was just meh.
PS: I did not watch Dark.
Tell Me Your Secrets (2021)
What is with the friggin music over dialog??!!!!!
It's a good show that keeps you watching, but the music over the dialog is killing me. WTF is with directors and producers doing this crap? Just stop it!
The Lie (2018)
I hate teenagers
Not a bad movie, but it made me hate the girl. Teenagers think they know everything, but all you have to do is watch one in a movie and you'll hate them forever.
The Turning (2020)
so sick of this crap
I freaking hate artsy crap movies with no ending that you can make sense of. Were there ghosts? Was she crazy? Who knows? I'm sure there will be people who think this is the greatest movie ever, I'm not one of them.
Midsommar (2019)
Amazing in it's utter stupidity
I'm floored people rated this highly. It's got to be the stupidest B movie I've ever seen. Millennials really are easily amused.
It Chapter Two (2019)
could have been two hours shorter
I left because I was bored. Too long and nothing to hold your attention.
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
Nope nope nope
It hated my choices and made me repeat them so often, it was super freaking irritating. Why didn't it just keep going? Why are there even wrong choices? I had to start over from the same spot multiple times and there is zero fun in that. It completely takes away from the show. I love Black Mirror. I do not love this one.
Peppermint (2018)
Go see it
Critics rarely rate movies correctly. I really liked this. Jennifer Garner pulls it off. They did well by not trying to turn her into Dwayne Johnson. It's definitely entertaining and worth a theater ticket.
Hereditary (2018)
Just say no
I love Toni Collette and she's the only reason this gets any stars from me.
It started off strong and I was super hopeful. It dragged a bit through the middle, but the story seemed like it was going somewhere. The first hour and a half was okay and then BAM! a whole lotta wtf.
I'm so sick and tired of "artsy" crap movies. Don't tell me I "didn't get it." I got it and it was stupid.
Don't waste your money.
