Beast (2022)
When you hope the lion wins.
I've rarely been as annoyed as I was with the oldest daughter. I had high hopes that she'd be eaten. She never once stopped arguing or complaining. Really irritating character. They could have done a lot more story development with the dead mother, and perhaps that would have fleshed out her character, to give her behavior meaning. Instead it was all cgi lions.
Idris Elba deserves much better acting roles than this movie! He's talented, and this is way below his skill set. The only thing I enjoyed about this movie was the opening scenes. The savanna was inspiring. But the lack of story line makes this movie a hard no for me.
Outer Range (2022)
Missed Opportunity
This show is dark, both figuratively and literally. After 5 episodes I found myself walking out of the room time and again. It wasn't compelling enough to keep me in my seat in spite of a great cast. Just being weird isn't enough to keep me tuned in. Really cheap CGI, and a story line that meanders at best makes for poor watchability. Usually Amazon delivers, but not this time.
A Million Little Things (2018)
It really is a million little things
The feelings exposed in this series feel real and genuine. I appreciate the characters' ability to show such a range of emotions in a believable way. Thoroughly engrossed, and very binge-worthy.
The Powers That Be (1992)
Outsanding Comedy
I have been looking for copies of this wonderful comedy since it's cancellation!
The wonderful cast and characters, and just hysterical writing made this show a winner in my book. Sadly, the public really never had a chance to appreciate it. David Hyde Pierce showed off his star qualities as Theodore and should have won many awards for the performances, long before Niles was an entity.
Clean and creative humor, slapstick, and sometimes just plain silliness made this show refreshing and fun.
