Kathy Bates, as always with her big heart and practical humor!
22 January 2011
people who rated this show with an average rating must not watch TV much to appreciate such rare ravishing piece of work. cuz to me, the pilot was amazing and just blew me away with kathy bates's powerful and charismatic persona. just like her previous works, her humanitarianism and powerful words rummaging through the show, giving it great meaning as well as a touch of her usual down-to-earth humor.

performances from the rest of the cast are great too, as i sense great energy and positiveness, especially the junior lawyer guy, hilariously astute lol.

overall, a very entertaining and meaningful show that evokes warmth and knowledge to viewers.

bottomline is TV nowadays are usually filled with dry and superficially cunning characters , rarely do u see someone as heartfelt, down-to-earth and warm as the veteran Kathy Bates. thus, we need to treasure it.

a real winner! i love it.

the ceaselessly brilliant and heart-warming Kathy Bates, love her so much!

PLZ Don't CANCEL FRINGE! it'll be sheer crime. JOHN NOBLE STEALS THE SHOW. what a eerily thrilling and strikingly fascinating sci-fi show!
16 March 2010
first of all! it's John Noble, John Noble, John Noble, maybe the best ever character or portrayal of a character to hit television yet. i love it! i missed most of it thinking it was just "another" one of these new quick buck shows. but no, this one is heavily substantial and very well-done, in special effects and writing and acting. i esp. love Walter(he was the mad king in lord of the ring by the way), he portrays his character of a psychologically conflicted man who is a top-notch Brilliant scientist and a schizophrenic man child to perfection. it's like successfully finding a needle in a haystack of haystacks. his scary eccentric yet genius gentle look is perfect for the role, that's what i keep saying that there are many superb talents out there just waiting to be discovered, to be given a chance. all credit to role castor. the strange and arcane happenings and cases are fantastically fresh, insightful and extremely interesting. esp. the medicinal worms in "snakehead", phewww, absolute favorite. overall, great concept, acting, well-prepped, hands-down can beat x-files. this is also a protest to those who wish to cancel the show. to hell with them, it'll be a crime to cancel this one-of-a-kind spectacular and boundlessly ambitious show, to rob us of our joy and intellectual fuel. to those opposers who complain about the gory nature of the show. they should all go to hell. this is how our world is now, take it or leave it! if u cant handle it, don't watch it, don't be watching it and bringing it down for us fringe-lovers. SERIOUS, Show Creators, please continue the show and don't ever ever cancel it. plz don't repeat another "firefly" disaster. IMDb review screen-rep. i apologize for a couple of profane words, plz let me post this! it's important to get the word out!

Legion (2010)

not half bad at all unlike what critics and others say! it's pretty darn good actually!!!
20 February 2010
i gotta say this movie delivers a strong impression that is not a bad one! it's surpringly easy to follow and understand unlike what i originally thought as complicated and religious. well-acted, esp. Paul Bettany as the savior, very strong performance, might resurge his career after all! the rest is very very good, great cast, the old lady scares the bejeesus out of me BIG-TIME, one of the most menacingly creepy i've seen, as im pretty tough-skinned when it comes to horror movies. i gotta say critics and many others who downplayed this movie are quite in the wrong spot. it's a great story of human sacrifices and what it takes to survive, to continue. the value of human life is heavily emphasized upon in this movie. humanity is such a double-edged knife that they can grow stronger or they can very easily self-destruct. thus, God has given up on us. also, it takes extreme reason to defy reason, such that is one in Michael, when he valourously defies God, his master, out of nowhere, to defend doomed humanity at all cost, even his life. such extreme inexplicable reason must be heard, must be validated that maybe humanity must have a reason to have existed for so long and really is worthy of continuity. i guess the message is: please do not take end-imminent experience to start appreciating what you have.

NICEEEE CONCEPT! have u ever felt how valuable human life is until this movie?
14 February 2010
Warning: Spoilers
wow, all i can say is wow, it started out as kinda hard to grasp to the point of frustration, but as it went on and on, the story just unfolded beautifully. GREAT ATMOSPHERE, the kind that is perfect for the scifi genre. just perfect! from the high-tech impossibly man-made spaceship to holographic projection technology to the wretched mutants. solid acting, great feel, esp. the hot German chick, whoohh. breathtaking! i gotta say the most astonishing and enlightening scene in the movie is the one where deep sea creatures were shown swimming outside of the ship, it immediately injects an eerie sense of thrill and wonder. excellent twist concerning that all this time, humanity could have been restarted and yet it's humanity themselves that hindered their own iniation by internally destroying each other. what a theme! humanity are self-destructive and clueless even with all the commodities they created around to benefit them. after all the calamity on the ship, the ending couldn't be more perfect and enlightening as hope surges and survival ensured in a BEAUTIFUL tanis scenery that has never been more liberating and SWEET, and guess what, they have 1200s other human survivors to share it with! now let me ask you this, have you ever felt such high and relief ever seeing those pods popping up one by one even in limited number? has the number 1200s meant more to you than ever? once u begin the fathom how precious and significant this minute yet grand population is, u will get to realize the true value of human life? WHAT A PIECE OF WORK! a not-really-new concept that is brought to life and pumped with coveted scifi action, refurbished!!! GREAT JOB by director and actors and concept creator!
