Some good crashes but stupid
9 August 2022
So, just dumb. I don't know what else to say..... Plot holes you can drive a tram through and about the least likable cast I've seen together in a long time.

Truly putrid
5 November 2020
Caught on TCM. Just awful. Truly, truly awful. Clunky, slow directing, inane dialogue, sexist, sterile writing, inappropriate cartoonish overacting, inexplicable uncomfortable pacing, cardboard-ish sets. Doesn't even have camp value.

Had to finally turn it off and switch to home renovation shows before it ate my brain. This, and every one of this series, should have the filmstock burnt and flushed down the toilet....

Painfully Stupid
29 April 2016
I don't even know where to start with this one. I want to like it, I really want to like it. Greg Berlanti usually does pretty interesting stuff, but this particular series just seems to be so lackluster and largely pointless.

I also want to like it because of Brandon Routh and Victor Garber who, again, have both been good in other things. I think the writing is to blame. Hackneyed, cliché, and clunky, never mind that some of the plot is just ridiculous... Yuck....

Watching it as I write this, but I have to change the channel to something different, it's just too stupid to continue watching...

Hackneyed Trash
15 April 2013
I have no idea why Syfy can't do something interesting without having to rely on hackneyed plot lines, cheesy graphics, clichéd characters, flat acting and stale writing. This seems to be another in a long line of Sci Fi/Syfy 'crank it out cheap and make it stupid in the hope of attracting dumb people' mold that seems to be the fashion in 21st Century TV. Think Continuum, Santuary, Stargate Atlantis, Revolution, ad nauseum.

This is dreadful dreck. I can't continue watching it. I can barely tell this one from all the other ones - Look alike actors spewing the same awful clichés in eerily similar CGI'd universes.

When I watched the pilot and saw both Terry David Mulligan and Grahame Green as essentially background actors, I realized this was another cheap 'made-in Canada to get the Canadian tax break money' production and doesn't warrant my time and brain cells.

Not Sure What to Think After Just the one Episode.
9 April 2009
I've been looking forward to this show for quite a while. I am a city planner for a local government, I worked for a Parks Department for large parts of my career and I've been thinking about all the ways that one could do a riff on local government a la 'The Office.' I figured if done right it could hit a chord with all the poor unfortunates like me who are stuck in the bowels of government - stuck in a Dilbertesque half-life of government cubicles.

I'm torn on this one so far - there are funny moments and places here I go "Ok, wow, that was funny and this is how it really is.' Most of the time, though, It's just kind of flat, like they don't get it or that they're sticking far too closely to 'The Office' formula because it's safe and trusted. BUT, I think it would be better if they could cast themselves off.

I think the stage is set for some potentially funny stuff, but I think it's going to be an uphill battle to set themselves apart from The Office and really find a character for itself.

Oh Lord, PLEASE make it STOP!!!
7 April 2009
I'm just about finished watching this disaster on DVD. I hate all of them. I hate the plot. It's shallow and contrived and boring and if it doesn't stop soon I will have to hit 'pause' or just gouge out my eyes.

Pointless and stupid. About the worst movie I've seen this year. AH isn't bad but the rest of the movie doesn't make up for her.

If it's a comment on drug abuse I don't get it.

If it's a comment on weddings and traditions I don't get it.

Can't someone comb her father's hair??

Terrible.

I can't imagine that the writer and the director managed to convince people that this was a useful purpose of time, effort and money.
