The Tomb (2007)
Worst Movie Ever Made
Oh, my Gosh! Why did I waste my time and my money on this film? I've seen four Lommel films, including this one, and they were all b-a-d! I bet if Ed Wood had seen these movies, he would have thought they were garbage. The plot was a copycat of "Saw" and if Ulli Lommel believes this is in the same league as "Saw," he is beyond wrong. As usual, watered-down Kool-aid, repeating set pieces, tortuous to watch, and regret in buying the film. Now you're probably wondering: why did I even buy this film? To tell the truth: the case looked cool and I was fooled into thinking this time he'd actually made a "movie." Lommel is delusional. I've given him plenty of chances, but he has impressed neither me nor others who've reviewed his work here. I would rather shove daggers in my eyes than watch his movies. Oooh! Daggers in my eyes. Sounds like fun. Sorry, Ulli Lommel!
The Raven (2006)
Don't bother watching this dreadful film
This movie is beyond awful! Plot, straight from Ulli Lommel's ripoff bookshelf. Oh, did I mention that the sound is awful? The casting is dreadful. There's one thing I've noticed about Lommel: he always uses someone else's ideas rather than his own. I guess he thinks it's all right if he uses real cases, right? Wrong.
Perhaps if he'd actually based his movie on Poe's work, it would have been worth seeing. Unfortunately, he didn't. The only thing he used is the name. A capitalist attempt to steal a good writer's words;and then he doesn't use what's available. This movie is worse than "Borderline Cult." The stabbing sounds were more like a dribbling basketball than a stabbing; the blood looked like watered down Kool-aid. "The Raven" is probably one of the worst movies ever made.
