There is no denying that this is a seriously problematic film, but being a bad movie lover, I found myself enjoying it more than it deserved. Not only are their costumes delightfully ridiculous, but the dialogue and the delivery are cheesy as hell. The actresses are cute, but their characters are as unhuman as possible; they talk and act weird, like doped-out weirdos who worship an autistic god. I found myself laughing out loud at one specific line that was not supposed to be funny. How refreshing! It feels like a 90s super hero adaptation gone bad, in the tradition of Spawn and Batman and Robin, a true blast from the past! Please don't listen to the grubby post-MCU radicals. Give it a defiant try!
