I See You (2019)
A Colossal waste of time.....
Meaningless piece with no sense of direction. I've managed through really bad movies, even ones mostly shot with cell phones but this takes the cake. I wanted to see the movie with the same title starring Helen Hunt but somehow I ended up with this load of crap. If only I could back the hands of time....
Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010)
Really disappointing
I've always loved Perry's movies even the ones that obviously suck but I'm really disappointed in this one. All other areas have been rightly addressed by the reviewer's before me but my area of interest is Pat and Garvin. Perry I must say got it wrong there, he actually made the good person appear bad and vice versa. Garvin obviously wanted things to work out btw him and his wife and even admitted to his friends that and even Pat! that he was ready to work on it. I mean it was obvious at the negotiation table that the news of divorce came surprisingly to him as he was actually waiting for his wife to love him again. It was Pat that never gave him the chance showing how selfish she was. I mean she told him that his ideas during the discussions they had about her book (this of course also show he's a good husband) did count! How much more selfish can a person be? And now Tyler Perry decides to paint his character the monster and the poor man of course died only for the selfish woman to get another man. I guess we were supposed to be happy for her? That ending sucks I must say. And what's it with Janet showcasing her boobs in almost every scene? I'd thought she'd reserve that for her music videos. Besides that movie showcased her as a responsible woman so wtf?
Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa (2002)
Bollywood grow up
I gave the movie 6/10 because of the interesting story lines, fine songs and wonderfully choreographed dance steps and that's all there is to it. For God's sake I think Bollywood directors should see more of Hollywood's movies on terrorism before making theirs. I don't think Bollywood is ripe for these kinds of movies yet.Wondering why I'm saying all these? For heaven's sake! how can our here rescue a whole plane form fully armed men without been armed himself. HE's so good that he used kicks to dispossesses all the gunmen of their guns that's great!. The fight fight in the plane was not even choreographed well, a kid holding a gun would have killed our hero easily it so much showed that the terrorists just didn't want to touch him.
the shoot out at the birthday party was taking directly out of one of Jet li's movies. I mean the rolling of tables and all that.
U know I also wonder how someone that's already shot in the hand could carry out all those stunts he did why he was being chased. And the helicopter chase was a flop. It was so obvious they didn't want to shoot him and they didn't want him alive either cos the order was to kill him. It was in a desert for God's sake! You know at a point you start asking yourself whether the terrorists are after saving their leader of killing Karan.
All the same the movie was interesting I mean the romance was good I like it but try and step up guys or it might just be advisable for you to limit yourselves to romance movies only
Veer-Zaara (2004)
My best Indian movie ever
Regardless of what anybody might say this movie is an excellent movie. It's my best Indian movie ever. You can see I'm rating it 10/10. Not even any American romance has been able to move like this movie, a real tear jacker.A MUST WATCH FOR EVERYBODY! I think the actors and actresses were great with such fantastic display of emotions. The singing is great too. I think Bollwood is really developing fast I think this is one of their best. I wonder if there are people this days who can really devote themselves to love just like these two people did. I think this movie sends a message to people in love out there challenging them on how far they could go with there love.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)
It's OK but I would have loved a different ending
This movie is absolutely OK I've even bought the DVD. The acting is fine and the songs are good even though I'm not Indian I love those songs. Ash was also looking gorgeous. But somehow I feel I would have liked the film better if Sameer had gotten Nadini at last. You know even though I really love to I've never been able to bring myself to watch the film the second time. I feel somehow like their love failed and to me love never fails unless of course if all the while what Sameer and Nadini had for each other had just been a crush and Nadini later saw developed real love towards her husband when she realized he could sacrifice anything for her even his own happiness just to make her happy.
Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006)
the film is OK
As far as I am concerned this movie is OK. I see it from a very different light. 1. actors and actresses are supposed to be flexible and are supposed to be able to play all kinds of role or else we don't refer to them as good. So there is absolutely nothing wrong with our hero playing a romantic even though he's known for action packed roles. Even Hollywood actors and actresses play roles outside the ones they are known for e.g Tom Cruise in "Eyes wide shut" and "Vanilla sky", Bruce Willis in "Colour of the night" Even Arnold in "The twin"etc. SO I don't see that point against him at all.
2 Well I agree the plot is guy saves girl from trouble and girl falls in love with guy and trouble because the family wont agree which is common but most Indian films are kind of something like and all the same the movie is still touching and it is OK for a romance film.
Like I said before as far as I am concerned the movie is okay and I like it a lot I've watched the ending time and again for countless number of times cos I love it a lot. Kudos to the director. And my people in here you don't have to take things so personal as so many people are doing in here. If you hate the director there are better ways of expressing it.
Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995)
Rohit is a perfect example of selfishness
I must confess, this is one of the best Indian films I seen in a long while, I saw it yesterday and thought I should comment on it. I've not seen Kramer vs Kramer so I cant really compare it's however similar to "Double platinum" where a woman(Diana Ross) left her daughter(Brandy Norwood) and husband to follow her singing career because the husband wouldn't support her although in this case the husband was not a singer. My view of the movie is however different from that of most commentators here. I don't see Kiran as selfish at all. I think she did the best for herself at that time or else she could turn nuts. On the other hand I however see the man as selfish, what brought two of them together in the first place was their singing and Rohit himself said they could climb the ladder of fame together but after marriage? He became concerned with himself alone and even refused the chance to give her demo to a music director. It shows that all he said before marriage was just a plot to get her. The woman loving and believing in him married him even against her parents' wish, she even stayed in the marriage for 7years believing one day he would change. The way I see it I feel Rohit should have repented of his selfishness too, even though they tried to show this when he was talking to his son about why his mother left (Acknowledged his own selfishness) but later scenes showed he didn't change, when Kiran got him a job as a music director(showing that all this while she never stopped thinking about him) he clearly told her that he wanted his success to be his own alone without the help of the woman and refused the offer, that's an outstanding show of selfishness and it is clear that that was what he wanted all along, remember before they were married it was "we could do this and that" and after marriage it became "I want to achieve this and that" the movie never showed that he repented for this and I believe he should. The only consolation was the fact that he had to sell those songs and he never became the man of his dreams fine that's what should become of a selfish man but he didn't regret it. One outstanding thing however was that unlike the movie "Double Platinum" he made sure the son always loved his mother. I give him kudos for that. The court scenes were absolutely wonderful and despite been a man I was moved to tears myself but what I would like to say here is that even though Rohit's lawyer was only doing his job and has to use every weapon in his arsenal it must be clear that both of them failed in the relationship. A husband should support his wife's dream too but he became engulfed in only his own. Another thing is that saying Kiran has failed in all her major relationship was very unfair of Rohit's lawyer putting in mind that she left her parents to marry him showing how selfless she really is. Even though at the end of the day she came to realize that it is the relationship that really matters. I do too but one thing should be clear she would have remained a very unhappy woman and probably driven to suicide if she had stayed. Rohit must also come to understand the right of every woman to a career too and also learn to think about others along with himself too.. On the whole the movie is an excellent one and a must watch for every couple.
