The Big Bang Theory (2007)
Every week, 20 minutes of pleasure...
The best thing that could ever happen to my Mondays...This is the perfect sitcom for geek people. Smart dialogues, thousands of references, and strong characters turn this show into a masterpiece. After watching a few episodes, you start to like more and more of the guys. Probably, the main character is Sheldon Cooper, the narcissist genius that we all love. But I prefer Wolowitz better. Howard Wolowitz is a "horny engineer", who tries desperately to attract women, showing the attempt of the writers to make we, the viewers, identify ourselves with the the nerd stereotype of the show.
P.S.: I hope to watch a crossover between TBBT and Two and a Half Men! Who's with me?
The Big Bang Theory: The Psychic Vortex (2010)
Good night, puny human!
Probably, this is the best TBBT episode ever. Here, we learn that Sheldon is completely asexual, in the best scene of this season.
When Leonard and Howard go out in a double date, Raj is left in the apartment with Sheldon. Despite Sheldon's reluctance, they go out (after, of course, Raj gives Sheldon a Green Lantern lantern). They meet two geeky girls at a university mixer, and, later on, we see all of them together playing Rock Band.
Near the end, Sheldon agrees going on a second date (after, of course, Raj gives him Hulk gloves signed by Stan Lee). There's one girl who, apparently, is interested in Sheldon. Then, looking to the watch, Sheldon goes to sleep, but leaves the viewers and the girl surprised, in a scene that is easily the best of this season.
P.S.: The more I watch TBBT,the more I think about a crossover between this show and Two and a Half Men. Have you ever thought how would it be to see Howard and Alan picking up girls on bar?
Idi i smotri (1985)
You feel like you're there
I could never give a movie a 10. That's why I am giving this one a 9. "Idi i smotri" is probably the best war movie ever.
Forget about Hollywood; if you want to find something real, shocking and disturbing, look for this movie. Everyone involved in war is a victim of fate. The world, as the movie shows, do not care about people.
While Flyora is running away, he (and we) keeps thinking what he is running away from.
And another good thing about this movie is the acting. The boy is amazing. Uncanny. So is the girl, I almost cried when he left her behind. The directing is very interesting, the camera runs after the characters through the Russian fields and doesn't care if they die or not: we're still watching.
After you watch the movie, you won't understand war. You will understand victims.
Avatar (2009)
Please, get this thing off the top 250!
OK, this movie certainly has got a lot of wonderful visuals, the characters are impressive (because they look real, not because of the script), that is true.
BUT the story is so weak!
Guy goes to some planet, people tell him to betrayal the natives, but, in the end, he can't do it. Add a ridiculous "let's save the planet" appeal and that's it.
This movie is a blockbuster without spirit. Or do you think that Avatar is better than Sunset Boulevard, Dr.Strangelove and Apocalypse Now?
I know the top 250 isn't very reliable, but let's respect the true masterpieces and put Avatar on it's place. Cameron did a good job, but nothing revolutionary.

Pulp Fiction (1994)
Pulp Fiction...
