This was a great surprise, I agree with the prior review Boardwalk Empire falls flat when compared to Peaky Blinders. The acting is topnotch, The story line is awesome, I love how real life characters are added to the story, very good character development, the costumes the scenery are very convincing, I'm watching the first season back to back, that's 6 episodes an hour each. I can't wait for season 2. Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby was an excellent choice he becomes Thomas very convincing, Sam Neill as Inspector Chester Campbell is also dead on, he does a great job, and then there's Helen McCrory as aunt Polly & Annabelle Wallis as Grace two beautiful women perfect for the rolls they play, I can go on and on but I'll stop suffice it to say Peaky Blinders is now my favorite show and a must watch.

I have to say I hate remakes but this was a good one, Spike Lee brings out the best in some actors and it shows in this film. THE violence is almost acceptable from a moral stand point, After everything the lead man is put through you can't help but enjoy the payback, The twist and turns are unthinkable if you haven't watched the original movie I guarantee you will never guess the ending nor will you figure out why the lead was put through the mental pain as well as the physical pain and suffering this is a great film worth watching since you can not guess the motives behind everything the lead man and others involved are put through. great cast, great director, brilliant plot and painfully brilliant ending. I enjoyed this movie even more since i couldn't figure out why??? But in the end it all makes sense.

I love these low budget movies. they prove that talent goes a long way you don't need million dollar budgets, or over rated, over paid actors. When you have a good story and a good story teller the rest falls into place, If you don't give these movies a chance you will miss out on so much just like I use to miss out. I'm so happy i began watching these movies. I have seen some great acting, great producing, great directing, brilliant story telling, all done with peanut shells when compared to the bloated Hollywood remakes, I'm so tiered of watching remakes it makes no sense just think of how great these films would be if they had half the money the big blockbuster films get. I decided to Google search for underrated Directors and I'm so glad I did since this is how I found Adam Mason's work. Mason is a magician turning very small budgets into great works of art, The acting is good, the more is less works in this film and I highly recommend you do as I did Google Adam Mason and watch his movies you will not be disappointed. I'm on my 3rd movie Mason has directed and I love them all so far, So give this movie a go if you need links to watch his movies online just shoot me a line and I will get these to you, Blood River is amazing and a must watch so is Broken and Luster. I will watch all his movies and rate them here I hope this helps other viewers as I am really happy I found Mason and his works of art. be advised the gore is in your face, and what I loved most about this move it was based on real life experiences, true story, I can't imagine anyone having to go through this type of horror and pain, the fear must have been so crazy yet the human spirit can adopt and survive almost anything.

And so will many adults, it's very good for such an early film {1993}. The script is well thought out, the acting is good, and the special effects are alright... What a roll, played to the max. Val Kilmer is so convincing, he becomes the character, watch as one of the best transforms himself into a tweaker. Surrounded by an amazing cast, great performance by most if not all. The story line unfolds and your drawn in to this underworld of tweakers, pushers, and impostors. you will absolutely love the ending you will be glued to your chair, so be ready when you hit play there will be no popcorn break trust me, so have all that ready and enjoy one of the best Val Kilmer performances. any one wanting to watch this online send me a message. This would be a hit show, it drew me in like no other show has been able to since Wolf Lake {9 episodes} if you haven't watched this mini series I highly recommend you do, the acting it great, the story line is unique and the suspense will keep you glued to your seat, I can seriously watch or even help develop about 5 seasons of The Lost Room. {LOL} The creators imagination runs wild, and so will yours, The objects are indestructible, and can be used for good or evil, then there's the living object, which has Lost all ties to humanity when the "Thing" happened, which no ones seems to know {yet} skies the limit, the foundation of the show is so unique and magical, that any scenario is possible, I just had to come here, and post this review, I was lost thinking this was a new show, but it's a mini series from 2006, where was I, Please SciFi bring The Lost Room Back.

Although I agree with the prior comment I must point out two mistakes in Scar Face Tony {Pacino} played a Cuban refugee while in Carlito's Way he plays a Puerto Rican both islands are in the Caribbean Sea not in South America other than this the above mentioned review is dead on both movies do have a lot in common yet the mind set of the main character are not in scar face Tony plans as he murders his way to the top while in Carlito's Way Carlito wants to move on with his life and live on the right side of the law the sets are different I love Carlito's Way but Scar Face is my all time favorite, other movies similar to these two are A Bronx Tail, Pedro Navajas Both are worth watching and I recommend as must watch.
