National Theatre Live: Prima Facie (2022)
Jodie Comer is the best actress ever.
How did this woman remember all the lines?? How did she perform this for two months?? How did she flawlessly switch between characters?
I was completely entranced by this.
Dear Evan Hansen (2021)
The story is messed up
The movie begins with a guy that has depression and anxiety, I expected something similar to The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but it quickly turns into the events that unfold after he lies when someone commits suicide. So he's also a liar. What?! I couldn't empathize with any of the characters, I just wanted the truth to come out.
The music was nice though.
Killing Eve (2018)
The final season deserves one star
Amazing performances from Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, and an amazing soundtrack, hereby my 10/10 rating. However, the last season and the series finale were very disappointing. Unanswered questions, useless new characters and plots, and overall a season that did not match the quality of writing of the preceding three seasons. What a mess!
Killing Eve: Hello, Losers (2022)
Barring the last 2 minutes, this was the best episode of the season
Those 2 final minutes ruined the entire show for me. I can't see myself ever rewatching it now. The only good thing I have left is the amazing soundtrack and even THAT reminds me of the awful ending.
Congrats for ruining an otherwise amazing show :)
Thank you Sarah and Jodie for you mind-blowing work. I'm very much looking forward to seeing you on screen again!
Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel (2021)
What a piece of crap
Elisa Lam did not deserve this documentary. Too many interviews with people that have nothing to do with the story. Dragged on forever unnecessarily.
The Martian (2015)
What can I say?
This is my go-to movie when I'm feeling down.
The soundtrack is awesome and Matt Damon is awesome. It's fascinating to see how he fights against the elements and himself to survive. It's like Cast Away, but in space and with a more light-hearted tone.
Yo soy Betty, la fea (1999)
This is the best telenovela EVER.
The music is great. The actors are abso-freaking-tastic. The story is believable and well developed. It has the perfect balance between dramatic moments and funny scenes.
The only downside I can think of is that it's sexist AF. Most if not all of the female characters are commonly harassed/shouted/flirted/insulted at by their male counterparts.
Perdida (2018)
Didn't make it to the end
The dialogues were laughable. I stopped watching 20 minutes in.
