Only Murders in the Building: I Know Who Did It (2022)
Genius!
I thought season 1 was good, oh my word season 2!! I loved the small things that are worked seamlessly into the script "I'm English you tw**", I particularly enjoyed this as this went by so quick and was probably lost on a North American audience.
The script was clever, very well written and it's delivery a masterclass.
Oh and I really liked the yodelling at the end...
The Equalizer (2021)
Not the greatest programme, but..
Not worth 4.4 either. Queen Latifah's acting is good and this will get better. I think that this deserves a chance before it gets canceled.
Ted Lasso (2020)
Simply brilliant...
For me this has the perfect balance of optimism, English humour and sarcasm. The acting is, in my humble opinion, brilliant and the sentiment portrayed is an antidote to this period in history that we are struggling through. I cannot wait for the next episode! Thank you!
Artemis Fowl (2020)
I think everyone's taking it a too seriously
It's a movie targeted at children. My 12 year old really enjoyed it and to be honest I enjoyed watching it with him.
Car Masters: Rust to Riches: Petersen Built (2020)
Bring on season 3 please!
Awesome show! An amazing blend of engineering and people with passion.
Season 3 please Netflix...
Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing (2018)
Sheer Joy
Two of the best comics of my generation, messing around fishing and having a laugh.
I rated it a 10 and have put in a complaint with Amazon about not being able to give it 13 1/2 out of 10 which it clearly deserves.
Love the programme...
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Complaint about the star rating system.
The star rating doesn't go to 11 and this film deserves it. Ties everything together beautifully. Great acting and a great story. 3 hours zipped by. If marvel movies are your thing you won't be disappointed.
Tomorrowland (2015)
Cynical need not apply...
A great movie as long as you take it for what is, a good adventure. Watch it with an open mind. We could all do with a little more hope...
For me this movie was fun and carried a poignant message, about doing something with our future. It is very easy to sit back, be cynical and do nothing. We are told that the future is going to be awful for all of us, global warming, over population etc... Back in the 50s and 60s the message was different, why has the message changed? Back then it was known about over population and the need for change. Do we need to believe the message that we are told, if we don't agree why can't we do something to change it? Maybe this would have an positive effect on the numbers of people today having to take anti-depressants. Any way enough of that, glad to get that off my chest... :-)
The movie doesn't take itself seriously. I particularly liked that the use of the word "bollocks" towards the end, very unDisney like. There are some great effects, although they didn't go overboard. I liked the cameo appearances (teachers preaching disaster) by the two actors who played scientists in Stargate Atlantis. Also Kathryn Hahn as the one of the owners of the Scifi store.
I particularly liked the conversation between Casey and her father:
Casey Newton: There are two wolves who are always fighting. One is darkness and despair. The other is light and hope. The question is... which wolf wins? Eddie Newton: The one you feed.
Spoiler alert! We're feeding the wrong one...
So that was my 2 cents...
