Calvary (2014)
7/10
A torrid tale, released to thee of Gleeson and his Calvary
20 July 2015
A story drenched in faith and sin asks poignant questions of within

Scenes flow from humour black as night to themes of beauty and grand insight

Each scene like mirror from the shelf, thus forced to gaze upon one's self

With reach rested upon one's soul felt long after the credits roll

Gleeson shines, utmost respect with form I've now come to expect

His second film after The Guard McDonagh too held now in esteemed regard

If asked to vote, once all observed: an 8 from 10 and well deserved
