The Prince (2019)
8/10
A Story Of Lust, Crime and Situational Sex
24 June 2021
When Jaime kills his best friend (who he lusted after) in a fit of rage, he is sent to a prison which was terrible in its own right. Placed in a cell with four others, he is forced to sleep with the Stallion (who is the boss in this cell and who tied to the most powerful prisoner in the place) Forced sex happens in this prison so is accepted. Now called the Prince he slowly changes over time to become very strong. The deleted scenes are very explicit. Life goes on even if in prison.

The Liberator (2020)
Give This Four Part Series A Chance.
15 December 2020
Because of the way this series was filmed it takes some time to become easy with watching, but it is worth the effort. The men who served in WWII were all hero's but the men coming from Oklahoma came together for over 500 days to take part in military operations from Italy on the France and finally Germany. I checked and this is a true story even if not always complete. My father-in-law served in some of the same places and in fact witness to the concentration camps. Never forget.

A Good Telling Of Early Russian Dealings With The Mongols
17 October 2019
First the series is already subtitled in English. Just accept the words might be different than you might expect. The maps are in Russian but after a while you understand the locations. The story line is about the Grand Prince of the Russia's and the Great Khan. Romance is included with good and bad. The problems within the Russians and Mongols own sides play into the story. Lots of bad events occur on bother sides as well as good. Not possible to out guess events. Enjoy the series for it is done well.

Worth Watching
30 January 2019
Be ready to read subtitles if you do not speak Spanish. Amazon Prime is 18 episodes. Captain Alatriste is Central to all events happening which ties all of the story lines together. The religious beliefs of the Spanish play a large part in dealing with the English. All being said the sword fights, personal relationships and dealings with royalty and the church keep a fast paced series of events. The sets used just seemed to fit there period around 1620 which added a lot in viewing.

Hard life youth comes out, but it is not easy (Gay themed)
31 January 2010
Watch the opening even if it is hard to do. It will take a while before everything starts to fall into place. UK street punk with the life he is use to is trying to find his real self. There are many subplots to this film which are not understood or known until late in the film. I think this is a great film and believe it will remain one of my favorites.

The plot I will not go into for to do so would totally ruin watching the movie. Hang in there and you will see a film which will make you think a lot.

Since I am an American, it took a little getting use to the UK setting with cars driving on the left, yet it would be easy to have made this movie in the US. Give it a try.

More to the story. If you watched the 144 minutes get the directors cut.
13 July 2008
I have watched this movie several times, I thought it was great and even purchased the History Channel Crusades which helped me understand this movie better. Enough said. I purchased the Blu-Ray Directors Cut which is 50 minutes longer. Many of the questions you might have had are answered in the action of this 50 minutes. From the beginning until the ending the added parts make this a much better story. I will not tell you about the story as I guess you have seen the movie and will say the 194 minutes is a long time and in theaters would not make most people pleased, but at home it makes the movie a great watch. I think you will be surprised at some of the changes in what you thought happened and what happened in this edition. Enjoy, I did.

A good film for the time. The story does not follow the book but is not bad.
12 July 2008
This film is available. I got a copy and enjoyed it. I suggest you read the book (it is available again)and then watch the movie. Some of the actions in the movie are explained in the book so it makes better sense. If you watch this movie understanding when it was made and the attitude toward gay books and movies, it is amazing it was made at all. The story tells of love and learning between several men and shows the problems the characters had in the story still exist today. The acting is a little stilted and the filming was not great; however, it is a classic which will go down in movie history as ground breaking. I hope you can get a copy to watch.
