The Guild (2007)
Leaves you wanting more and more! Wheres a major network when you need them?
Have you ever had one of those moments where you've said to yourself, "I just need to take a step back, rethink my life and make some changes. Maybe unplug for a while, get out and breathe some air that hasn't gone through the processor fan of my computer and enjoy life again"? These people haven't. This video is fun and watching makes me realize that I truly have grown up.
Plot: Vork Gives control of the guild funds to Bladezz in hopes that it will make him a stronger player. Bladezz then posts a video blackmailing the other members and steals the money. The series is spent trying to get Bladezz to give back the money. In a secondary plot, Zaboo becomes stalker obsessed with Codex and moves in with her; much to the dismay of Codex and Zaboos' mother. Zaboos mother comes to retrieve him and well
.Don't want to give away too much of the secondary plot.
The chemistry between Felicia Day and Sandeep Parikh is amazing. Comic timing is dynamic and leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode. Fans wonder how they can get involved in this. SUBSCRIBE!!! Its on Youtube. Watch it, love it, just don't live it!
Men in Black (1997)
Laugh out loud
Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith team up in one of my top ten favorite movies of all time. Jones has the deadpan humor down while Smith plays up the comedy. There is just something about being a bungling new employee that makes for a great movie and add aliens, guns and killer actors and you have a hit. The supporting cast does a superb job of playing off Smith and Jones. I believe they were born to play this role. Its great to see Jones in such a light hearted movie. Special effects in this movie are spectacular yet subtle. With todays computer generated worlds, its easy to distinguish between real and CG. The team that worked on this movie makes it hard to tell the difference between reality and non. I could actually believe the explosions in the movie really happened. That makes for happy movie goers. And I don't know what person went to see the movie that didn't go out in search of sunglasses and a "flashie thing" after watching this movie. Burger King had us covered quite nicely in that area.
Nanny McPhee (2005)
What a lovely film
Nanny McPhee was by far one of the most moving, beautifully written, and acted movies I have ever had the privilege to see. Emma Thompson is in a class of her own and has done a beautiful job bringing Christianna Brand's lesson for children that now cleverly disguise itself as a beautiful film. The precocious children chosen for the rolls have bright futures ahead. And as always, Angela Lansbury does a superb job delivering roles that to anyone else would be stiff and extremely overacted. Emma and Angela both have a talent for making the difficult seem supremely easy.
Bright bold colors and magical antics capture hand hold the child's attention while teaching your child that all actions have consequences that must be dealt with. Perhaps some adults will learn a lesson as well?
