As movies go, it stinks. But it's so campy, it's worth watching for the skin & the laughs. It's like a Grade B mix of "Planet of the Apes" and a version of the 1959 "Immoral Mr. Teas".

Put the kids to bed, kick back, pop the top on a couple cold ones, & enjoy it.

Delighful casual partial nudity and seascape scenery. Daryl Hannah looks better (and nuder) than in "Splash". Light plot and adequate performances showing young people enjoying life. "Summer Lovers" is a pleasant way to spend a light hour & a half.

This lacks even the campy humor of "Plan 9 From Outer Space". The acting is wooden, & the villain is as sympathetic a character as the hero. The best way to watch this movie is in MST; the comments are far more entertaining than the movie.

I gave it a "2" rating because I was able to finish, but a "2" is probably generous!
