The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
Most overated series puts out another overated movie!
Warning! This Movie is not for the serious film watchers. LOTR ROTK was at par with the rest of the LOTR. The patented LOTR lighting was present as always being horrible with the continuity of the shots from the far shots and close ups (which there is a lot of). Hey if you miss the helicopter shots, you won't be dissapointed there is more in this one. There is less walking around in this one though but more mindless quotable moments and fake heroism. Music is pretty much playing through 90% of the movie to make up for the horrible acting, you just know your supposed to pay attention when that cheesy flute music comes on. Biggest beaf with this movie is that it seriously needs to see the editing board once again, for it can be cut down at least an hour. I find it insulting to my intelligence to have the pound in my head the friendship between sam and frodo. I GET IT ALREADY! Also Mssr. Peter Jackson throws in the 30sec solo speal of Legolas vs. The world for the fan girls so you ladies won't be dissapointed. All in all decent movie not to be looked at as an artistic stand point.
7/10
Poolhall Junkies (2002)
Story scattered like a break
I rated this movie as a "4." The story is scattered all over the place, they try to appeal to too much of a demographic without succeding. Is it about pool? friendship? romance? or what, no such strong points in this movie. The character development is awful in this movie, one minute you see a new character and wonder where he/she came from and they never explain it... If u want to save the cash and watch a similar movie, go rent Rounders.
Titus (1999)
Amazing Movie!
My friends and I decided to watch a serious movie, and being teenagers and all this would have been the most far fetched movie we picked, but something drawn us too it. The movie is amazing, hard to understand the english dialouge at first but gets easier as the movie progresses. Lots of scandal and twist in this movie that make shakspear one of the greatest writters ever. The cinematography captures you at the first seen and Hopkins is remarkable in this film. I suggest everyone to watch this movie!
Thelonious Monk: Straight, No Chaser (1988)
One of the Best Documentarys Ever
Clint Eastwood really did well with this film. It portrays the great and legendary playing and composing of Thelonious Monk and also his hard time during his life. One of the best films on Jazz to date. I suggest music lovers of all kind to watch this movie.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001)
Not Just For Kids
Great Movie! I haven't read any of the harry potter books, but i found the movie very easy to follow. I first suspected the movie was aimed towards kids, but i also found my enjoyment in this movie. I have seen it 3 times now in the theaters and plan to buy it on DVD. I recommend this movie for all ages, i haven't heard anyone i know say bad things about it!
Ocean's Eleven (2001)
One of the best!
One of my favorite movies of all time. The cinematography was excellent, dialoge could not get any better. George Clooney delievers his great dry humor, which i love! Movie is more for smart and intellectual people that like smart humor, not for people that like 'kick to the groin' funny. I recommend seing this no matter what!
Men in Black II (2002)
Not that good
Seeing the previews on tv and other movies, i thought the movie would suck, but my friends decided to drag me out to this one. It's not a good movie, the acting was sloppy except on the behalf of tommy lee jones. Will Smith had his corney moments. Johnny Knoxville was pretty funny, but just disapeared from the movie all of a sudden. Ending was very cheesy. I would have to say if u saw 2 different previews for this movie, then you have seen the funny moments of the movie. Don't go out to see it unless your drunk or have an IQ of 50 and below.
