Bad Girls Do Cry (1965)
Terrible, but what the hell?
Misty Ayers had a smoking body, and that's all this movie was about. Pure exploitation flick. I started playing a game with myself, counting the number of times they looped the stock orchestral music. And of course the music is completely unrelated to the scenes. Case in point: casually walking into a room and saying "Hello" was scored with chase music from a roman epic. I'd like to know why this film sat on the shelf for 11 years before being released. What I learned from this movie: that women's low-rise panties existed in 1954. I'm talking Sigourney Weaver in the original Alien movie panties. At least 20 of the first 30 minutes is Misty leisurely taking off and putting on her clothing (except for bra and panties, sadly). Also includes horrendous dubbing, leading to a "Look out! Godzirra!" effect.
Good Morning World (2007)
More filler for the Comedy Network
Yet another ultra-low-cost turd whipped up as filler for the Comedy Network. They show this stuff just to satisfy CanCon (Canadian Content) regulations as cheaply as possible, while using real money to buy American shows. They've been doing it since Day 1.
It really is as bad as the previous commenter states. It's just these two guys (with the occasional guest) acting out a talk show skit. They seem to think that fake tans are the most hilarious gimmick ever conceived.
I guarantee this: should you choose to sit through 22 minutes of this garbage, you will not laugh once. It takes something truly awful to make the endless Just For Laughs reruns seem appealing.
May this show die quickly and join the rogues gallery with Popcultured, Rockpoint P.D., Chez Carla, Girls Will Be Girls, Buzz, The Jessica Holmes Show, The Itch, etc.
Faces of Gore (1999)
It Isn't Japanese
I know that the opening spiel said that they made up the stories and changed the names, but come on. Every story apparently takes place in Japan, and all the names are Japanese. Well, even a moron can tell that these are NOT from Japan.
The people don't look Japanese, the writing on the uniforms is definitely not Japanese, and the way that the police wrap up bodies in butcher paper and touch bits of internal organs with non-gloved hands suggests these clips originate in a third-world country.
I'm no expert on asian languages and alphabets, but I'll hazard an informed guess that these clips are from the area of Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
Putting all of that aside, the movie is pointless. Many people say it's a gorefest, but I just found it boring. Once you've seen a couple of car accidents and suicides, you've seen them all. Don't waste your time with this cheap ripoff of Faces of Death.
