beautiful!

Warning: Spoilers
This review does indeed contain spoilers!

When I first saw the trailer for this on YouTube by chance, I decided to look for it on the internet hoping to find it and thank god I did! I didn't know it was a miniseries of 2 episodes. First I saw episode one and I fell in love with the characters and the story. I have to admit that what I really liked the most was the love between Elizabeth and Andrew, I didn't much like the husband. However, in episode 2 the husband's character started to appeal me more but I was already head over heals for Elizabeth and Andrew. I loved their love much more in episode 2, there were really some passionate scenes between the two. Although this little series had righteous ending as she chose to give her marriage a second chance, I still wanted her to end up with Andrew. I mean Gideon is so handsome and their love scene was amazing and their kisses were amazing but then again the ending was good and decent.

Perfect
17 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I loved it. It's one heck of a Telenovela, it's so funny...hilarious actually. Victoria Ruffo is an amazing actress...she's a shining star. Victoria and Mauricio had such an amazing chemistry, they're really cute together. I loved everything about this Telenovela ..even the song is superb "Desde Que Te Conoci".

I watched it 2 times and I still can't get enough of it. I wish if I can find another Telenovela with the same plot line cause I really liked it a lot.

Victoria Ruffo looked very beautiful in this one, really beautiful.

There's one thing that I couldn't believe; that Victoria was the one who sang the main song "Desde Que Te Conoci" a long with Alejandro Fernandez ....It was a really good duet and a really cool song..I keep listen to it every day.

Adored it
16 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the Mexican and the Colombian versions before I see this one though it's the original! To me the Colombian version is the best but I have to admit that I adored this version too, it's so special in its own way maybe because it's the original and it's the funniest one among the three, there's a lot of fun in it. It was so funny that I was laughing my guts out, Soledad is a very funny actress so as Osvaldo..he's a very talented actor.

They had such an amazing chemistry not as much as Alejandra and Ernesto in the Colombian version but still the chemistry was really there and very obvious.

I loved the songs of this Telenovela so much. This Telenovela is a real master piece hard to forget, definitely one of the best I've seen.

I think that each one of the three Telenovelas has something special:

@The Argentinian version: It's really good cause 1-It's the original. 2-It's so funny and hilarious, the funniest of them all. 3-It has amazing poetry.

@The Mexican version: It's not as good as the Argentinian or the Colombian but it's successful and famous because 1-it's Mexican and Mexico is like Hollywood for Telenovelas, plus, 2-Pacheco in this version was way hotter than Pacheco from the Argentinian and Camacho from the Colombian version. 3-this version also has a lot of hot scenes..really hot.

@The Colombian version: In this one you can really feel the love and passion between Aguirre and Paz ...their scenes are not as hot as the other scenes in the other versions but this version has much love and passion that can really touch your heart and soul.

The last thing I wanna say is that I adore the song "Custodia De Este Amor" ...It fits the story perfectly.

The Best
16 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen the Argentinian and the Mexican Amor En Custodia but after this Colombian one I have to admit that this is the best version of the three ...OMG! The chemistry between Alejandra and Ernesto is unbelievable! The romantic story is amazing, there are amazing love scenes that I just can't take it off my mind ....they're mind blowing! the first kiss, the second kiss, the first make out ...everything ....and when they got married, the ending and when he knew that he's gonna be a father ...just wooooooooooooow. Though the age difference is huge "12 years" but you barely notice it, they're really drawn to each other, she's so beautiful "she really has such a beautiful face" and she's a really talented actress...Ernesto On the other hand is one heck of a guy, he's really handsome and a really good kisser :D every moment they're together my heart beats really fast especially when he says "Cosita" "Cosita Mia" "Mi Cosita" ..just wooooow!! I know that Alejandra is lesbian in real life but if I didn't know better I would of thought that she's really in love with him and he's too! Anyway it's one heck of a remake! I loved the song "Llegamos Hasta Al Fin" superb! everything about this show is PERFECT!

I watched it 2 times and I still can't get enough of it. I wish if I can find another Telenovela with the same plot line cause I really liked it a lot.

Doña Bárbara (2008–2009)
10/10
Brilliant
3 February 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Let me just say how brilliant this Telenovela is! It's totally outstanding, it's so different from all the other soap operas. It's one of the best I've seen and it's on my list of favorite Telenovelas along with many Colombian Telenovelas, this proves that Colombian Telenovelas are the best.

The plot is really good, it's so different. The acting was outstanding, Edith Gonzales proved that she's not a regular actress, this woman is BRILLIANT. I loved the way she acted, superb! Génesis Rodríguez was really good too.

Though I was supposed to hate the character of Barbara but I didn't, I loved her so much and I felt sorry for her. I wanted her to end up with Santos but unfortunately that didn't happen though they had an incredible chemistry and many of passionate scenes together. I couldn't understand how quickly his love switched from Barbara to Marisela but I understood him, I understood that when he was with Barbara he felt more like his father and he didn't like this feeling so Marisela was his salvation from Barbara's love.

Though I really cried my eyes out at the end of this Telenovela but I also admired it coz it had such a realistic ending.

What I also liked was Cecilia and Antonio's love story, it was so sweet and I loved it so much.

This Telenovela is memorable, it's this kind of shows that lives forever. I will never forget it. Barbara is a memorable character, and the scenes of her and Santos were hooooooooot ..no way I could ever forget these scenes. I wish they do another Telenovela together coz they do such a great job when they act together.

I love Christian Meier so freaking much ....though I didn't like his character here, I prefer him as Santos Torrealba "in La Tormenta" than being Santos Luzardo.

Barbara is and will always be la Doña ....Doña Bárbara. And Edith is definitely la Doña de Telenovelas.

Hijos del Monte (2008–2009)
10/10
Loved it
25 October 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I am a big fan of both Jorge Zabaleta and Mane Swett <3<3 I've seen all of their work together since Machos in 2000 till Aqui Mando Yo 2011, these two are perfect together..they have a huge chemistry which I've never seen before! they've made 9 soap operas together till now!! they changed channels together as they moved from Canal 13 to TVN together, they don't work with anyone but each other, they're best friends since 2000!! They're just perfect. Unfortunately they're not a real couple in real life as he's married and has 2 children. Hijos del Monte is one of their work together, it was a big success in Chile, I loved it a lot, they were perfect together as Juan and Paula. I loved how Mane acted in this soap, she is a great actress I've got to say! Now there's a Mexican remake called Los Herederos del Monte with Mario Cimarro and Marlene Favela, the remake is a huge success as well but I'm sure that this was only because it's Mexican ...and I know that Mexico is like Hollywood for soap operas! I bet that if Hijos del Monte was aired back then on Telemundo it would've been a mega success for sure. Anyway; I didn't like the remake at all! they changed a lot of things and the acting was not good! I didn't feel it! though I've got to admit that there were some good scenes which I admire in the remake. the 3 things I liked the most in the remake which weren't in the original. 1-Paula's character was more evil at first than how it was in the original... I liked her attitude a lot but then when she turned all good and nice ...I lost her!! cause Marlene's skills are not as good as Mane! 2-I liked the character of Berta. in the original she was just an old lady but in the remake she was young and she had a flirt with Pedro one of the five brothers, I loved this couple a lot even more than Marlene and Mario but unfortunately this couple didn't last long!! 3-I loved the fact that their father was still alive and that he came back with a different name. I guess that helped a lot in the story. maybe if it did happen in the original it would've changed a lot of things! ...one of the things I really admire is that there were a lot of romantic scenes in the remake than the original! I wish if I had seen more romantic scenes between Jorge and Mane as I did with Mario and Marlene! ...but anyway I still think that the original is a lot better for 2 reasons! 1-the acting skills were a lot better specially from Mane. 2-the chemistry between Jorge and Mane is way better than what Mario and Marlene had.

The Storm (2005–2006)

This is one of my favorites , indeed !
15 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I am a sucker for Spanish soap operas since I was a little girl even though I didn't understand the language back then but I enjoyed watching them! Now since I do know Spanish, I started to re-watch all the soap operas I've seen since I was little and even considered watching new soap operas and I did watch "mi gorda bella" since I love Natalia so much coz I watched "la mujer de mi vida" when I was little, then I thought about watching "la Tormenta" and I did! but I never thought that it will be on the top of my list of favorite soap operas! Now this is number 1 on my list along with "la viuda de Blanco" 1996, both of the two soap operas are Colombian and this proves that Colombian soap operas are really great! la Tormenta is amazing, I guess the only 2 things that I didn't like were 1-The too many stories aside than the main story 2-The absence of Marite in the last episodes, I guess I have to blame the producers!! However, this soap opera still on the top because of the good acting, the beautiful script, the amazing and wonderful character of Santos Torrealba "the perfect man a woman could have", also the marvelous love story of Santos and Marite, it looked so real ..."I guess they're really really good actors to make me feel everything they felt for each other", every time Santos opens his mouth to say something nice to Marite I feel as if a poet is talking! so amazing! and not just the words he says but the mutual looks and the way they talk makes me feel like I'm livin' it! Moreover, Natalia Streignard is a very beautiful woman, she's like a tender flower and she has this most beautiful voice when she talks! as for Christian Meier "my idol man" he's so hot, he's just too much hehhee! I guess this character of Santos Torrealba is definitely the best character ever written! he deserves to have his own soap opera. Christian was the best actor to do this role and that's for sure! Christian and Natalia have such a chemistry which I haven't seen something like it before! sometimes I feel like they come from another world or something! These two were so good together that I would do anything just to see them together again in another soap opera! I wish for this to happen anytime soon! Aside than the fact that this soap opera is romantic and full of too many romantic scenes, it's also very funny, actually it's hilarious, specially in the first few episodes, I used to laugh like crazy! also it had its sad moments that made me cry ....all this leads to one fact which is that these people do know what they're doing, they really are geniuses!! but unfortunately good things don't last, I felt so sorry for what happened after that; I mean the disappearance of Natalia and the change in script and all!! well...this could have been a master piece but it's okay I can't ask for more than what this soap opera has already gave me; which is too much really!! I enjoyed every single minute of it! I guess this is enough for me!

Un año para recordar (2010–2011)
10/10
definitely one of the best
2 April 2011
when I first saw the trailer I knew this was gonna be a really interesting show, and I was right! the story is weird and full of surprises, it's like a puzzle and every day there's a new piece to be added, amazing! Carla Peterson is just perfect, she's really talented, funny and beautiful. All the cast are great, and the chemistry between Ana and Dante is amazing! The songs are great too and the script is hilarious, the show is funny, it has romance, science fiction, drama, action, thriller ....etc. It's just wonderful! when I first watched "Lalola", I fell in love with Carla Peterson and I wanted to see another show that would attract me the way Lalola did ...then I came across "Los Exitosos Pell$" her second master piece where she and her co-star fell in love for real! Now I'm really happy watching this new show too cause it's really interesting and full of suspense, I love it, it's so different than the other shows, it's special and it has its own flavor. the show reminds me of 3 movies : 1-the butterfly effect 2-premonition 3-if only......it's a mix of these 3 movies + "the time traveler's wife"! all what I can say about this show that it's worth watching, so u better see it cause you'll love it, I promise! ...I can't wait to see how it ends! In Argentine, every one is eager to know what's gonna happen next!? so do I!

Lalola (2007–2008)
10/10
one of the best I 've ever seen
5 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
In my whole life I didn't like a novela more than 'La Viuda De Blanco 1996', I've seen many but there weren't any that got my attention...until .....'Lalola'.

It was amazing, funny and romantic. From the very first episode I was so into this novela.

The comedy in this one is absolutely unbelievable, I was laughing my guts out every time Lola opens her big mouth, she's so funny in every possible way.

For example :-

1-When Lalo became Lola, his very first reaction was so hilarious. 2-When she started to wear heels. 3-When she shaved her legs for the first time with the help of Facundo....that scene was unbelievably hilarious. 4-When she had her first period in a public place and was wearing a WHITE dress. 5-The way she talks and moves. 6-Her feminine hormones which started to appear through her jealousy of Natalia (the way she acted was so funny). 7-Her unstoppable crying when Facundo was about to leave the country the first time and then when he left her after figuring out she's Lalo (she acted just like any other woman with a broken heart and even more). 8-When Facundo's daughter Melisa called her and asked her to come and pick her up, Melisa told her father that she will go and live with Lola until Natalia leaves his house (that scene was so funny) 9-When Facundo got her out of jail and they were fighting and Grace was hiding in the bathroom to avoid their fight and after all the shouting, the loud voices and the hitting, Grace came out of the bathroom and they were on the ground making love (I mean, they were fighting a minute earlier and somehow ended up making out, that was wow). 10-When they had a make up sex and she told him "should we fight more often so we can end up like that". 11-Oh and when Lola warned Facundo to come near her or even touch her before he sorts everything out with Natalia, and just one day he went to her and said "I can't take it anymore, I just can't, if I didn't take 185 kisses right now I will kill myself and I have a daughter to raise and she needs me" 12-And when she told him "Te Amo Grandote".

Too many scenes I recall like the one when she slapped Facundo on stage when he kissed her in public.

The funny scenes don't just concern Facundo and Lola but all the actors as well, each one has his funny parts.

As for the romance

I've never seen in my life two actors who have that much chemistry like these two, they're amazing, I mean, if I didn't know better I would've assumed they were really a couple in real life, god !!!! the chemistry was really really unbelievable.

And the romantic scenes oh Mama Mia!! go figure!.

What I have in mind now are :-

1-The jealousy parts and the looks and the very first time he met her. 2-When he told her he loved her and when he didn't leave the country with Natalia and they kissed under the rain and she confessed her love to him. 3-Also when they made love for the very first time when she asked him not to leave her and to be the first man in her life...she said "Yo Te Amo, Yo Te Amo, No Te Vayas, Por Favor No Te Vayas. Por Favor, Te Amo, Te Amo Como Nunca Amé a Nadie Asi En Mi Vida. Te Necesito, No Puedo Estar Sin Vos. Quiero Que Te Quedes, Quiero Que Seas El Primer Hombre De Mi Vida, Por Favor".

... Grace said at that moment after Lola and Facundo made love:

"Lola Estaba Feliz, Emocionada, Por Fin Habia Podido Tener Esa conexión Tan Deseada Con Facundo, Todo Era Magico, Perfecto, Se Habia Entregado Enteramente, Dejando De Lado Su Pasado, Los Prejuicios, Los miedos ...... Y a Lalo".

4 -When he brought her the Serenata and wrote "Te Amo, Quiero Que Sepas Que Desde Que Te Conoci; Mi Vida Es Otra, ya no Duermo, no Vivo, no Respiro sin Pensar en Vos, Sos El Gran Amor De mi Vida, Te Amo, Te Amo, Te Amo" 5-When he proposed to her. 6-The very last scene when they're finally together, when she said "Perdoname, Nunca Quise Lastimarte, Seguro Que Hay Muchas Cosas Que No Sé, Pero Hay Algo Que Es Verdad Y Estoy Segura; Sin Vos, Yo No Existo".

If I kept writing I won't stop so better stop now. I just wanna say that this novela is one of the best I've ever seen and I'm looking forward for something else catchy just like this one.

Marielena (1992–1995)
10/10
Amazing and worth watching
7 July 2010
That was the second soap opera I watched after la viuda de blanco 1996 and I loved it. It was absolutely amazing. I fell in love with it from the first episode, the story was great, the actors, the characters and even the music was amazing, not to mention the great love story, I just love Marielena and Luis Felipe (Lucía Méndez and Eduardo Yáñez) they had a wonderful chemistry together, I watched that show over and over again, I have it on video tapes so I can watch it whenever I want. Even though it has been a long time since I watched that soap opera but I miss it every day, I had great times watching it and I enjoyed every second, God!! I really miss watching it on TV. Though I do have it on tapes but still... waiting every day to see a new episode on TV still IS better than watching it on tapes.

Forbidden Love (2008–2010)
10/10
'Amazing' is this show's title
4 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This show is extremely beautiful, I watched it for like two years and I never got bored not even once, it's a beautiful and a very sad show and I'm not just referring to the ending which was really sad by the way.

The show is about Bihter, a very beautiful young woman who hated her mother so much because she was cheating on her father which led to his death, so she decided to get even with her mother by marring the man her mother wanted for herself (she stole him from her mother; well, I wouldn't call it stealing as the man never thought about the mother he only had the daughter in mind, but yes technically she did steal him) The man's name was Adnan and he was way older than her. Anyway, that man has a family; a daughter and a son and he also has Behlül his nephew (well..his not actually his nephew, he's a long distance relative, he calls Adnan 'uncle' as Adnan raised him since he lost his parents in an accident). Behlül is a fine gorgeous guy who spends his nights in clubs with girls, that's actually all what he does, he likes to show off a lot (if I might say). Bihter and Behlül hated each other since the first episode for two reasons; the first one cause he dated her sister and blew her off like he usually does with all the girls, and the second reason was because she hated the way he's living his life (as a spoiled boy), as for him, well.. she's not his type ... or that's what he thought at first.

Anyway, the story really began after the marriage of Bihter and Adnan, as Bihter moved in Adnan's house, so she was officially living under the same roof as Behlül (things could happen!! people change!!!.... yes they do) ....yup, we all saw that coming, all that hatred between Bihter and Behlül just turned into this forbidden passionate love story that no one knew about except them and us (the viewers I mean)) .......this relation had its ups and downs, had jealousy plus there was always a reason for them to get caught but it never happened and they kept on cheating and cheating all the people around them; Adnan and the rest of the family. It wasn't something they were proud of but they couldn't help it they were madly in love and drawn into each other hopelessly.

that was the first season of the show

as for the second season

The relation continued but the servants started to be aware of this relationship and other few people did too, anyway let's skip to the ending, Bihter committed suicide in the last episode (What an episode it was!!!!) I cried my eyes out, not to mention Behlül who spent a whole day grieving over her tombstone crying and crying unstoppably, even though it was such a dramatic finale but it was realistic, they wouldn't pull this through anyway (I mean the relationship), ethically this is 'sin' written allover it. Though their love was deep and real, it did hurt a lot of people at the end, indeed.

La Viuda de Blanco (2006– )
10/10
Not as good as the original but I liked it though
28 March 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, to be honest there's no way I would compare la Viuda De Blanco 1996 to la Viuda De Blanco 2006, because the original one is my all time favorite Telenovela ever, the best one I've ever seen in my whole life, I was totally crazy about it and still am. Alicia and Diego were my favorite characters of all time, there is no actress could do the lead character like maria Helena doering did, I'm a big fan of her and of course osvaldo rios and yolandita monge as well, the chemistry between them was out of this world and the Telenovela was a master hit. Besides, the 2 songs in that telenovela are amazing, heydee's song "tu tu tu tu" is my favorite Spanish song, it makes me cry because it reminds me of her death every time I listen to it, as for the second song which is the theme song; the duet between osvaldo rios and yolandita "tu y yo" is one of the best too. If I could, I would've gave that Telenovela 100 out of 100.

As for the new version of 2006, at first I thought it was terrible, but then I completely changed my mind, it was really good, I really liked it, the two lead actors were great, it was well made, it was just that the original was like a part of my childhood, to me it was precious, so it was difficult at first to see another telenovela with the same title and the same story but with different actors, but to be honest it was good. I loved the new characters, Alicia and Sebastian, Dimas, Haydee and the twins. all of them were great, I watched it several times and I never got bored from the beautiful scenes between Alicia and Sebastian, the passion was good ......so I recommend everyone to see it, even if you saw the original one don't hesitate to see this one, cause it's really worth watching.

Yo soy Bea (2006– )
10/10
One of the best
28 March 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This Telenovela is TOTALLY amazing. The chemistry between Alvaro and Bea is incredible, thank god they're a real couple. Even though this Telenovela was really long, but I enjoyed every second of it, Alvaro is so handsome, I really really like him, as for Bea, even before she transforms to a beautiful lady, in my opinion she was beautiful. She has this thing that makes you like her a lot no matter what.

The plot is great, I like the story, it's kinda the same story as ugly Betty with a lot of development of course. I recommend everyone to watch it. It's really worth watching. I can watch it over and over again and never get bored. There 're a lot of great scenes that you'll enjoy, beautiful characters, great acting, good music, happy ending and a love story that turns to a real love story between the two lead actors, so the chemistry is real and it gave this telenovela sparks.

After Alvaro and Bea's wedding, the Telenovela wasn't over, 2 new lead actors came to the scene with a new story and a little bit different plot ....it wasn't as good as the first story but this new one was OK....so it's sort of 2 telenovelas in one.

The most beautiful soap opera I have ever seen in my whole life
27 December 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I have seen that Telenovela many years ago, I have never been addicted to a soap opera like this before, Godddd!!! It was incredible, every thing about it was amazing, the storyline, the acting .......not to mention Maria Helena and Osvaldo Rios, they were amazing together....that telenovela made me laugh and made me cry (specially when Hyde died, I cried the whole day).....this soap opera is number one to me till now....I fell in love with it from the first episode, and because of it I'm now a student in Cervantes.

I have seen the new version of La Viuda De Blanco but it's nothing compared to the old one, no one can take place of Maria Helena, osvaldo rios or Yolandita............No way, Goddddd!!!! I adore this soap opera Soooooooo freaking much.............I have seen it several times and I have it on a video tape (actually several video tapes), and I still can't get enough of it. It's my all time favorite Telenovela ever, the best one I've ever seen in my whole life, I was totally crazy about it and still am, Alicia and Diego were my favorite characters of all time. And as I said there is no actress could do the lead character like maria Helena doering did, I'm a big fan of her and of course osvaldo rios and yolandita monge as well, the chemistry between them was out of this world and the Telenovela was a master hit. If I could, I would've gave this Telenovela 100 out of 100 .

Gümüs (2005–2007)
10/10
Wooooow
11 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
That was the first time I actually watch a Turkish TV series and I was astonished, it was absolutely incredible. this series is about a handsome man called Mehmet who was suffering after the lost of his pregnant girlfriend Nihan. Fikri his grandfather forced him to marry a girl from a small town called Gümüs. Of course Mehmet didn't want to marry someone he didn't even know so on his wedding day he ran away but when his father had a heart attack because of what Mehmet did, Mehmet decided to marry Gümüs only to satisfy his family but he told her that he will never touch her and that he doesn't love her and that was a fact that will never change ......but when Gümüs starts to change herself and becomes a very beautiful and attractive young woman and also a talented designer working for the family's company.. Mehmet starts to admire her and even love her. In this great series you'll witness the most passionate and amazing love story ever between Mehmet and Gümüs, a love story that will be threatened many times especially after it turns out that Nihan didn't die and she actually gave birth to Mehmet's son whom she named after his father, but even though Nihan was once his only love and now she is the mother of his son, his love for Gümüs was way bigger than anyone could even imagine. Though the main story is about Mehmet and Gümüs, there were other great stories in this series, for example; the love story between Mehmet's sister Pinar and his best friend Onur.....and there is also the love story between Mehmet's cousin Bahar and the journalist Kamil...not to mention the drama concerning Mehmet's parents and his grandfather and many other characters that will have big influence on this series.
