Everything Now (2023)
a realistic version of an ed but it's kinda held down by the relationship drama
I kinda wish the story stayed more basic on it's discussion of relationships. Eventhough queer rep is lovely the way it approached it alot of the time made it feel too "lucky" or rather "Unlucky" to occur. A hodge podge of ideas of what could happen in certain relationships kinda lead to the show being a bit unbalanced
but the discussions of ed related to me and hit home. I've had and still have bulimia since i started purging at around age 12/13. You're cruel to everyone because you're hungry all the time and that deep hatred of yourself bleeds onto the people around you like a infectious poison which in turn "scares" people off and leaves you with less and less people to turn to. I cant but help feel that it touched that perfectly.
Portraying people with ed's is something i wish we saw more of in media, especially in relation to queer identity.
Misumisô (2018)
an insanely good movie
It's extremely upsetting to see how few people have reviewed this movie. I only recently watched it due to seeing a certain scene with a camera. I was extremely happy to see the depth this plot went to with juts shear violence
llike literally if you enjoy seeing blood gore and all that jazz like you literallly NEED to watch this movie. The lack of people reviewing this movie is kinda dissapointining though like ym yes like i wish more people like um reviewed it because like not enough of you are like review this film because it's user reviews are like TOO low for how good it is like wth are yall doinbng.
