Depending on your age and how you feel about Will Smith. If you love him you'll like this, he's all over the movie. If you're a kid you may even love it, considering you can ignore the poorly written jokes by singing along to the soundtrack.

That is my review. My suggestion would be to make sure you are a kid or were one before watching this.

Adios :) Things to enjoy: Kevin Kline, giant robot spider, Selma Hayek's hair, popcorn, free time to crochet with background noise, Will Smith's music video, sincerely or otherwise, Kevin Kline, OMG Kenneth Branagh is in it? He's like a proper actor. What are you doing there Kenneth? Needed an extra house for your dog?

So I was looking for a fun, lighthearted romantic comedy and I looked into Korean TV. I wanted something fun, quirky, and usually involving food, and I got exactly that and so much more. This show examines all aspects of relationships, including the obstacles that get in the way and the conflicts in our hearts. And its funny as heck. And really romantic.

It starts off slow and the characters are still awkward and unfamiliar, but it really comes together at the end. 16 episodes, 40 minutes in, you have to be really in the mood for this. But if you are, it's worth it.

Word for word this movie described my life. I couldn't wait for it to be over so I could write a review. It felt more like a documentary than a fictional story, probably because the producer wrote from experience, but how she captured every second of that time is beautiful. 30 minutes in felt like hours because of the details of every moment. We see the world, but also how Ellie sees it alongside it. The film is well paced and the narrative choice is brilliant. In other words, it's effortless. I feel the movie was straight from the heart and moved along naturally with nostalgia rather than pain for her childhood. It is a movie set in reality rather than fantasy. Blah blah blah, just see it. It's good.

I think this is an excellent film, and far better than any of the Disney fairy-tales because, the actors are so great, and the music is so cheerful that I think kids will love it. But it's also a very funny and witty movie, and adults will enjoy it too. Here is a piece of dialog between the King and his guards as he yells to them from a tower:

King-Hellooo! Hellooo! Guards of this fairy-tale castle, do you hear me? (Guards-We hear you, your Majesty!) King-Did a girl with one shoe leave the gate of our castle? (Guards-How many shoes were on her?) King-One! One! (Guards-Was she blonde?) King-Yes! A blonde! (Guards-How old was she?) King-About 16! (Guards-Nice?) King-Very nice! (Guards-OK! We understand! No, we haven't seen her. No one has left the gate!) King-Then why have you asked me all these specific questions? (Guards-We were interested, your Majesty!)

This documentary, broken into 5 parts can be seen on theyoutube. It's amazing. Everything the kids go through in it we also go through, and the way that the teacher handles it, we also wish our teachers would help us the same way. I cried the first time that the kids were talking about their grandparents dieing and one girl mentioned her father's death when she was 3 years old. It made me sad because I never discussed the death of my father and grandfather so openly the way they did in that class. It also made me happy to know that there are classes somewhere where every child is safe to talk about their feelings, where they are taught to empathize with other human beings. I am certain that those kids will grow into much better adults because of the environment they had.

For those Americans who cannot understand the movie and appreciate it entirely, I suggest that you watch it for its visual value. I myself have moved out of Russia when I was 7 so I did not get to study the history culture and language of Russia that much, so movie like these I use as an educational tool. I've learned a lot about the clothes, speech, and history from this movie than I did anywhere else. My heart is more in this than perhaps yours might be, but educationally this film is worth it, as well as providing humor and fun. It's not a preachy, soapy, cramped kind of comedy. It is fast paced, energetic, and fun.

I can't say much about this movie. It's pretty simple and small-budgeted. The special effects are amateur and the children actors are, well, children actors. They're not at all bad, but it does sound like just repeating lines at times. If you don't like that type of performance and prefer the trained technique, you might not like this. But the movie is charming and the story line is even more interesting, especially if you like Harry Potter and all that wizard magic stuff. I personally found this better than Harry Potter. Just ignore the newbie acting, and enjoy it as an indie wizard movie. I'm sure the actors and director had a lot of fun making it. I have to say one actor was particularly good in his role, and that was the teacher. Also the gypsy woman at the carnival was not bad. She gave me the creeps I needed. I recommend this movie to anyone who likes magic and adventure, and does not feel awkward watching a children movie. Kids will love it, but adults may enjoy it as well.
