Common Ground (2023)
Let's find a Common Ground!
Does putting an end to climate change begin with something as simple as putting a halt to the system as we know it? Industrial agriculture has taken over the food industry, and with that, comes many harmful consequences. Not only do industrial farming practices lead to erosion and deserted land, but the harmful chemicals they regularly use in practice can have life-threatening effects such as cancer. Common Ground by Joshua and Rebecca Tickell proposes an efficient way to put an end to climate change, while simultaneously healing our own bodies. The film focuses on regenerative farming and putting it into practice, and all of the potential benefits, and even the long-term higher income for farmers, regenerative farming truly can have. If we all can come together on one common ground, we can save our planet and reverse the effects of climate change as we know them today!
Kiss the Ground (2020)
If you are looking for an optimistic outlook on how to approach climate change, this is the film for you.
Living on a planet where one-third of the top soil is gone sounds frightening, doesn't it? Well, The film Kiss The Ground directed by Joshua and Rebecca Tickell provides simple solutions to reverse that problem all while featuring Celebrity Narrator Woody Harrelson among many other respected scientists, farmers, politicians, and civilians. Though for many farms in America, mass use of chemicals and tilling of soil seems to be the way to produce food to feed America effectively, there are more sustainable ways in which things can be done brought to light by Kiss The Ground. Including some of my favorite songs such as "I won't give up" by Jason Mraz, the film contains appealing elements visually and musically, and inspires change in a positive manner. If you are looking for an optimistic outlook on how to approach climate change, this is the film for you.
