Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002)
Poor effort
I was looking forward to seeing this so much, I had read reviews that raved about it. I had seen the last two (many, many times) and loved them to bits. But I came out very disappointed.
It looked like a film that was made for the sake of making a film. Ok, so I did laugh, there are a few good moments but "on the whole" I was cringing for large chunks of this film. Too much of it was poorly thought out humour, where the jokes were obvious and just not funny.
The set of characters for this film were poor. Foxy Cleopatra??? She might as well not have been in that film at all, why was she anyway? Terrible, how many times did she say the same thing? Number 2? Why was he there?, underused. Frau (Not going to attempt to spell her name, you know who!) was underused too. Micheal Caine's character was terrible and he got landed with two of the worst jokes in this film. I was glad to see Fat Bastard back, because I liked him, but, like most of this film, his appearance was all a bit pointless. In a film that never really goes anywhere.
It all ended up being complete nonsense and the already weak storyline fell to pieces. I doubt there will be a 4th, I think Ive just witnessed the sad ending of another good series of films.
The Tiger Woods Story (1998)
Oh deary me!
What a film!! I couldn't turn it off, I did try but it was a lost cause. Just how bad actually is this film?
It was rolling along nicely at "bad film" status until the story reached the Augusta Masters. Needless to say the status dive bombed to become one of the worst films I have ever watched. Terrible acting, terrible action shots, Terrible looking golf course??? but the main star of the show wasn't Tiger Woods .. it was Colin Montgomerie!! What a performance ... what a likeness?!? and what an accent?!? I want to know this actors name, he is my new hero.
This film is so bad that It comes with my "must see" plea. Everyone, no matter the cost, needs to get their hands on this film. It is superb entertainment.
