Night of the Living Dead (2006)
More Thievary and Despicable Behavior
Let me start with this, every time I see someone or hear someone discussing a bad movie, if there is a reputable actor in the film, almost without fail, someone says "Why would so and so..." or "I can't believe so and so did this movie". That irritates me to no end, because it is a stupid question, usually meant rhetorically, with no expectation of a legit or relevant answer. Well I guess I'm Albert Einstein. People...Actors need to work to eat and survive. It's that simple, so don't question why Ving Rhames does Zombie Apocalypse 2012, and don't question why the great Sid Haig is in this crap-fest.
Now, on to the real issue. Theft. Another filmmaker totally devoid of integrity, discovers the so-called public domain status (which myself and others whole-heartedly refute)of Night of the Living Dead and he gets a brainstorm,..oh donkey dung, did I say brainstorm?? I meant he has a brain-Fart!!! Night of the Living dead belongs to the people who created it. Someone claiming to be an artist and then stealing from other artists is disgusting. It's an outright Us VS.Them situation. And Jeff Broadstreet you have defined yourself as one of them. You make me sick.
Fans and supporters of the real Night of the Living Dead...Boycott this Garbage. I give it a minus infinity out of ten. This guy made money, no one from Image Ten or the original film made squat from it.
Another Night of the Living Dead (2011)
Oh brother.
What the hell is anybody supposed to say about this? The tragic theft of Night of the Living Dead is the biggest crime in American cinematic history since Fatty Arbuckle got linked to a dead girl. The fact that no one in Washington has seen fit to return the copyright to the rightful owners who actually toiled to create it, well it's just reprehensible. It's not like anyone else is out there counterclaiming it as their property. We all know who created and rightfully owns the film. Uncountable millions of dollars in profits have been reaped in by this film, but very little of it ever went to where it should, as these awesome, wonderful people who changed the cinema forever, and left an undeniable mark that will be remembered for as long as there is a human race watching films...well they continue to labor to earn a living, when they should be living their twilight years on easy street. Many have them have already passed away, and their numbers are dwindling. Still, no justice for Image Ten and the participants of the film. Shame on you Washington, shame on you thieves, shame on you bigwigs with influence in the film business and lastly shame on all of us for loving the film and then not creating enough of a public outrage and demand that this property is returned to it's rightful caretakers.
Now, like so many unconscionable jerks before him,...now comes along Alan Smithee trying to benefit and profit from the hard work of others who owe him nothing. Go make your own movie scumbag.
Smithee should be tarred and feathered. If you love NOTLD, and care about the people who made it...boycott this garbage.
