Absolutely beautiful anime. The Swedish boy Nils who starts off as a cruel and mischievous boy, is shrunk down (as punishment for his bad attitude) and travels throughout Sweden with a flock of geese, his pet hamster "Carrot" and pet goose "Morten". The journey makes him grow into a mature and caring boy that would give his life for his animal friends. The series is 52 episodes long which is just enough that you really get to care about all the characters. And when the show comes to its conclusion it is a real tear jerker. I have not cried as much in a long, long time. If you are looking for a classic anime with a good wholesome message, then look no further.
