Excellent series

I have just started watching this and I so far i am extremely impressed.

Although i was fairly young, I was a fan of Prisoner back in the days when it was on and i have been looking forward to this show ever since i heard there was a re-make.

I don't want to give too much away regarding the plot but basically it has a similar plot to the original format but there are a few twists that you wont be expecting - especially with casting.

Its superbly acted and after 15 minutes into it you wont want to switch off. The girls in the show are brilliant. There is plenty of drama, action and some occasional black comedy.

Don't judge the show on the reviews and past experiences alone, watch it and make your own decision. If you haven't seen the old shows of Prisoner you wont be missing out on anything at all.

Well done and i look forward to more episodes. This will definitely be winning a few awards. Keep up the good work Foxtel.

What about our pain?

Golly gee and goodness gracious me. How bad can one guy be? I mean really! I wasn't expecting too much when i went to watch this and it turns out my expectations were too high.

The "comedy" is bad and i mean really bad. I'm not sure if its an American thing (I'm Australian) and by that, i mean, that you would have to live in America to get the "jokes" but i didn't find it funny at all. I gave up after 30 mins. Surely if i hadn't laughed once by then i wouldn't be laughing at all. Don't get me wrong though, America has some good comedians out there. And in previous years I particularly enjoyed Richard Pryor and also Eddie Murphy in concert. But Kevin Hart just isn't funny. If its that easy to make a lot of money but spruiking about everyday living then everyone over there should get on stage. It would be a riot of laughs.

S.W.A.T.: Firefight (2011 Video)

Its not too bad

Hardly a 1 out of 10 so I'm not sure where the other guys are coming from. I would be interested in seeing what they think is a 7 or 8 rating for a movie. There are definitely plenty of other movies out there that are worse. SWAT is more like a glorified TV movie than a big budget Bruce Willis movie blockbuster.

Its worth watching if you like your cop/hostage movies. Its kind of like the new Hawaii five O TV series turned into a movie. Judge for yourself but don't let the 1 and 2 ratings above throw you out. I'd expect it to end up around the 5 or 6 mark once the figures balance out. I thought the guys and gals did a good job in it.

The Postcard Bandit (2003 TV Movie)
7/10
Has some great moments in it.

This movie was pretty good. I wasn't expecting a block buster so having low expectations probably made it better than what the comments have been.

Its worth watching and i would recommend it to anyone who likes an Aussie flick. I disagree that Peter Phelps would have been a better person to play Brenden Abbott. If you read up on the Postcard Bandit you would agree that Tom Long did a superb job.

It obviously didn't have a massive Hollywood budget but you shouldn't be disappointed if view it. It was on TV here in Australia very late and i thought I'd just watch the start but i ended up watching the entire movie through to 2am.

I read an article in the paper after this came out and the police officer who tracked down Abbott said it was a very accurate comparison to what it was like chasing down the Postcard Bandit. He said there had only been a few minor changes in the movie.

Judge for yourself.
