Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman (2021)
Worst movie ever made. Literally.
Acting is so beyond painfully bad. It's like a group of wannabe actors put some money together and hired a director and told him or her "don't give us direction." I kept watching just because I was in disbelief that it could be this bad. The acting is soooooooooooo bad throughout (with the exception of Chad Michael Murray - he does what he can with the poor script). But the other actors...omg was this a non-union film? Did any of the actors EVER take an acting class? I've seen student films with Oscar-worthy performances compared to this...if you want to watch a movie just to laugh at how bad the acting is, this is your jam!
The Great North (2021)
Not funny. Boring.
I've watched every episode. Never laughed. Never giggled. The animation is nice - same as Bob's Burgers. But Bob's Burgers is hilarious with interesting stories. I can't help but doze off during Great North. It is sooooo boring. And there's nothing funny about it. It's like someone who has never written comedy became head writer and other people must have just nodded and smiled because they didn't want to upset the boss.
It also seems to work hard to push social agendas, which would be fine if the show were entertaining. Ooooo, a gay son, how GROUNDBREAKING for a cartoon comedy. Please, it's 2021, get over yourselves.
The 2 stars are for the animation. The writing is boring, not funny, not smart, not interesting, not anything. It's such a FLAT show. I keep watching only cuz Nick offerman's voice soothes my soul. Jenny slate's voice negates that though (no offense Jenny, I hate the sound of my own voice too. Nothing against you if you ever read this) ok rant over
Point is, I will never remember this show once I stop watching and I will never recommend it to anyone. Good job animators though. I need likable characters and entertaining stories to keep watching and it hasn't happened
12 Hour Shift (2020)
25 minutes in & dying of boredom
25 minutes into the movie, nothing happens. A corrupt nurse hates her job. Ok. I get it. I'm so bored waiting for something, ANYTHING interesting to to happen. Boring dialogue, boring characters....ugh sooo boring
The Maid's Room (2013)
What did I just watch
So boring and no point. No ending. Could have been a short film and even then it would have been pointless. Super disappointing.
The Mentalist: Nothing Gold Can Stay (2015)
Super dramatic episode for a nothing character
They made this episode incredibly dramatic for a character that was only recently introduced, was extremely boring & annoying, and had a super weak relationship to the rest of the characters. Absolutely absurd. This entire season has felt like a different series - it is clearly different writers and it lost its fun, thrilling, energy. Season 7 is mostly a giant train wreck and this episode is a fantastic example of how ridiculous it crashes.
Lying Eyes (1996)
So stupid and boring
Cliched. Boring. Illogical. Poorly written. Unrealistic. Main character is stupid. Stupid story. Corny. Not entertaining whatsoever. Dumb teenager has affair with older guy. The end.
Wasted Talent (2018)
Horrible filmmaking
It's like the person who made this had never seen a good documentary in their life. Long, boring interviews. Good documentaries are not just talking heads. Couldn't even get halfway through it because it was just so painfully dull.
Dexter (2006)
NOTHING like Florida. Clearly California
My biggest gripe with this show is in the fact that they go out of the way to make it Miami and it is CLEARLY Southern California. Miami looks NOTHING like that. And people in Miami SWEAT. They don't wear long-sleeves and they look SHINY when outside because of the humidity. Hair becomes frizzy. License plates are NOT on the front of cars (how could they not research this???). Everything about the show screamed California aside from the rare exterior shots they included of Miami. This really irked me the entire series. If you can't make it realistically feel like Miami, just set the show in California. Ugh
Promising Young Woman (2020)
Extremely dull with a good ending
I almost stopped watching this because it was that boring and felt like a drama/romance, which is not what it seemed to be marketed as. It was slow-paced, there was 0 tension, and it really felt as though nothing was happening for the first half of the movie. It was so boring that it was hard to pay attention - which is a shame because the story is extremely universal and should be heard. But the ending was really good. It almost felt like the entire movie could have been more powerful as a 30 minute TV episode...the entire movie felt dragged out and empty until the end. So it's worth a watch because it's an important issue, but don't go into it like I did thinking it would be entertaining.
The Flight Attendant (2020)
Boring, bad acting, too long
This should have been a movie. It was so dragged out and boring. I was rooting for Kaley to break out and show us something different than the dumb blonde...her acting is just so so so so so so painful to watch (and I'm really sorry - I wanted her to be good. Not hating on her). None of the characters are likable ...her brother is OK but still boring. All of them are boring. The entire series is poorly written. The flashbacks were ridiculous and weird. I'm sure the bad script had something to do with the bad acting but not for Kaley. She still could have played the emotions better. You never feel anything in this series...not comedy, not thriller, not drama...but it tries to be everything. Epic fail. I can't believe this was HBO...felt like Lifetime with a bigger budget. All glitz no substance.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Amazing until Dawn RUINED it
Buffy was a fun, sexy, exciting show. Then they add Dawn, a horrible actress and an obnoxious character. Beyond annoying. The show changes from funny/sexy/exciting to ANNOYING, STUPID, DEPRESSING. It is infuriating. It was such a good show. Season 4 was excellent. Season 5 they add this stupid little bratty girl and the show just SUCKS.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Forever (2001)
Dawn ruins any episode she's in
Dawn is the worst character added to a TV series ever. She completely ruined Buffy. Every episode with her is completely intolerable. Spike is the only reason to continue watching. Dawn is annoying, a tremendously bad actress, and a pointless character. No, I do not wish to see a little bratty girl and then cut to a sex scene with two other characters. I do not wish to think about annoying children and then 2 seconds later see a sexy scene. Stop trying to make Buffy a freaking family show mixed with a hot young adult show. It was great when it was just fun and sexy. ADDING A CHILD RUINS THE SEXY. Gross gross gross. I hate dawn. Rant over.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Body (2001)
Like watching a different series
This is not Buffy. This is a soap opera where a character dies. It's a boring stage play that just makes you feel miserable. Dawn was the first thing to ruin Buffy. Having a full episode devoted to the death of Buffy's mom is the second thing to ruin Buffy. BORING & DEPRESSING. We don't watch Buffy for emotional crap. Stop trying to shove melodrama down our throats. The series was likable for the HUMOR and ACTION. But hey, let's add the most ANNOYING actress on the planet as the stupid little sister AND get rid of the likable mom. Brilliant. Worst episode of Buffy next to the episode that introduced the idiotic annoying little sister. The only reason to continue watching the series is for SPIKE, a great character.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Real Me (2000)
Dawn is the worst character ever
Suddenly we have a new series regular - a little sister to Buffy - who is an annoying valid teenager. This episode sucks so much. It is incredibly boring. Dawn (the little sister) ruins the rest of the series. Her acting is annoying and her character is blah. The show goes downhill because of Dawn. So annoying.
Utopia (2020)
Painfully bad writing
I haven't seen the UK version so I have nothing to compare it to - it's just suchhhh corny writing that the acting comes across as really bad (though I have a feeling even the best actors could not make that idiotic writing sound good). I watched 5 episodes and had to stop. It was painful. I was hoping it would get better because the basic premise is OK and I love John Cusack but it was just blahhhh....none of the characters are likable. You're not rooting for anyone. All the characters are super one-dimensional. There's no emotional attachment and the character development is incredibly weak. I didn't care if anyone lived or died. I can't believe Amazon green lit such poorly written nonsense.
The Little Mermaid Live! (2019)
Horrible singing
The whole point is that Ariel's voice is so magical it saves everyone - and in the live show, Ariel's voice is so painful to hear that it takes away from the entire story. Hollywood needs to start casting actors based on their ability to do the job instead of their popularity. Maybe she can sing other songs in other films but she cannot hit the notes in his Disney classic. Such a shame.
Deany Bean is Dead (2018)
Seriously? So bad
The acting was the worst part of it. The worst acting from the chubby blonde lady. Not funny at all. Had to turn it off not even halfway through - painfully bad
Central Park (2020)
NOT like bob's burgers
Bob's Burgers is funny; this is not. It's like it doesn't know if it is written for adults or children. Yea, the animation is similar to Bob's Burgers. The humor is not at all similar. It's not funny. It's actually annoying because it is TRYING to be funny but it's boring. There are SOME minor moments that are funny, and there are a few catchy songs. But most songs are boring. It's just too PG and boring. The characters are dull except for the evil old lady. Of course Kristin Bell kills her songs - she has a great voice. Maybe this is a show parents can watch with children. For a childless adult, this is NOT adult animation.
Parents (1989)
Possibly the most boring film I've ever seen
Waiting for something to happen. All it is is shots of the mom smushing meat, the son staring at his parents, and absolutely nothing happens. There's nothing funny, there's nothing scary, there's nothing creepy except the MUSIC. The entire time I'm just thinking - wtf am I watching? I wanted to turn it off but I thought there has to be a POINT, right? Something is going to happen? Nope. Just a boy with no personality who stares at his mom when she prepares meat. Gross. Boring. Why does Amazon Prime continue to add really boring, pointless films?
Big Love (2006)
Gets better but lash extensions!?
Found the earlier seasons boring and the voices of the nagging wives gave me a headache. But I was curious so I kept watching. The thing that irked me most was Alby's wife wears the most obvious lash extensions - she has fair skin and blonde hair yet wears super long black lashes that look like Kim Kardashian's. It seems so ridiculous for a polygamist who lives on a compound - none of the other women wore fake lashes. It's just soooooo distracting and takes me out of the story.
The series becomes more entertaining when their polygamy is possibly going to be exposed, and when the women seem to be realizing that they're not happy in the marriage.
The main characters are hard to understand. Never really feel clearly developed. There's just too many characters and too much going on. The dialogue is boring. It's just an interesting story.
House Hunters: Searching for Seclusion in the Sea Islands (2020)
Most boring episode ever
This couple is not only painfully boring but they are horrible actors. Most episodes feel staged(because all the episodes are staged), but this felt wayyyyyy more staged . Painful to watch. Soooo corny. Boring to the point that I didn't even care which house they picked
Lars and the Real Girl (2007)
Bored me to death
I had to turn it off not even halfway through. I was just so bored. No idea what was going on. So boring. If you can't keep my interest within the first 15 minutes, it's unlikely the rest of the movie will. Boo.
Six Feet Under (2001)
Bored to death, unlikable people, makes no sense
How does this have such a high rating? I watched the first season specifically because of the phenomenal reviews. Not only was it incredibly boring, but I did not find one character likable or interesting. All the characters are one-dimensional, and really REALLY dumb. Dumb people who make dumb decisions. The main guy's girlfriend is a psycho who treats him like crap and he falls more in love with her. The other guy leaves his boyfriend to have sex with hookers. No sympathy for anyone. Didn't like any character at all - everyone is annoying. Pathetic attempts at character development. I waited and waited for it to get better since the reviewers here all seem to believe this is the best show ever, but it never got better. It's just a bunch of characters you hate and nothing makes sense. The attempts at comedy are not funny at all. Nothing about this show has any entertainment value. What a waste of time. I don't know how anyone enjoyed this.
Top Million Dollar Agent (2015)
Most annoying people
I don't care what the realtors drive or want to see them shop for clothes. Seeing the houses is the only good part of the show. The rest of the show is just the realtors having painfully fake/staged conversations. I just want to screen at the screen SHUT UP AND SHOW ME THE HOUSES! They don't show the houses enough. The realtors are incredibly annoying - not likable people. Instead of focusing on the annoying realtors just show the houses ugh
The Goode Family (2009)
Making fun of vegans isn't funny
Making fun of compassion and health consciousness isn't humorous. Maybe it was considered funny in the 1950s. This show isn't funny. Showing a family who is eco-conscious isn't a joke.
