Wonderful!!! Bravo, Millie!
This movie is an absolute masterpiece! I am portuguese and was thrilled to know they were filming in Portugal.
The movie photography is excellent, the plot is very good and the performances are amazing.
Millie resembles a younger Natalie Portman, both in beauty and talent. Either it's as Eleven, Enola or Elodie, she always delivers in her acting!
I loved the main character's strength, determination and courage!
Also, don't want to spoil the film, but there's an amazing plot twist regarding the Dragon and background story.
I honestly recommend this movie, thank you Netflix for giving us great content as this! Bravo!
Panna a netvor (1978)
A beautiful, dark and magical movie
I am a great fan of everything related to Beauty and the Beast.
There are many versions out there but this holds a special place. Deeply gothic, a bit terrifying sometimes, yet still very enchanted.
The characters are exquisite and unique. The Beast is completely mesmerising and different from what we are used to see.
The scenarios are gorgeous, with the contrast between light and dark being artistic.
The soundtrack alone by Petr Hapka is a masterpiece and it's worth watching the movie just to enjoy the somber and beautiful tones of the music. All I can say is I highly recommend this to absolutely everyone. A hidden gem, a true masterpiece.
Madame Web (2024)
Great movie and very interesting characters
After fearing the bad reviews me and my boyfriend still decided to give this a go, as he's a huge Marvel fan and we liked the trailer. We really enjoyed the movie: it's interesting, different and refreshing. The plot is very cool and I liked the concept of a superhero not focused on physical skills but more mental (a sort of Professor Xavier). I don't understand the bad reviews at all. I must say I really like Dakota, she has a je ne sais quois, something about her really makes her performances engaging. It was also nice to see a movie set in 2003, brought me back to my teenage years. I recommend this movie!

Wonderful! Best movie I've watched this year!
I am amazed. This movie is wonderful in every possible way. The actors are fantastic, the plot is beautiful and intriguing and the photography is lovely. I kept rooting and hoping the best for the main characters, they really bond with us, audience. We care about them. The main character reminded me a bit of Jean Valjean from Les Miserables.
I will recommend this to everyone as I strongly feel this will be regarded as a classic and it deserves so! I hope Netflix releases more quality stuff like this: we need inspiring, less commercial, beautifully crafted movies.
Please, Netflix, invest in further similar productions, we will be thankful!
To everyone reading this: please don't care if you come across a bad review. Watch this movie! It's worth it!

Kayvan Novak is a gem!
This wonderful short is carried by Kayvan Novak, who delivers a beautiful, subtle and innocent performance. It is not often that one comes across such a versatile actor. I studied Psychology and his portrayal here was spot on! While known mostly for comical stuff, his dramatic skills for more serious roles (such as this one) are terrific. I will recommend this to everyone as many people in my country (Portugal) currently know the actor from the What we do in the Shadows series and I'm sure his acting style here will be a big surprise to many. Kudos also to the writers, I loved this story so much. Very peculiar, original and heartfelt.

Wonderful movie!
Wonderful movie, I watched it knowing not what to expect. The first hour has a different tone from the second one, but they both complement each other in a beautiful way. What is really lovely is that one of the characters changes for better, and it is a real, deep change, rarely portraited efficiently on screen. The photography is stunning, the soundtrack is beautiful and the actors did a wonderful job. Netflix is allowing me to discover these wonderful and heartfelt movies.
Nothing much left to write, except that it was a great experience and that I will recommend this movie to everyone! Beautiful!

The best movie I've seen in a while! Fantastic!
I was very surprised with this movie. It is beautiful, emotional, sad but sometimes funny.
Flawed and therefore human. I absolutely loved it. The plot is unique, the romance story is very weird, but guess what? Weird in the best way possible. The actors did an amazing job (I was very happy to find out, upon googling, that the leads fell in love and got married in real life).
I will recommend this and hope for more quality movies like this one, which are rare to find, nowadays. I won't spoil anything but be prepared for a few tears but also many smiles.
What else can be written? Bravo!! Very good!!
The Pale Blue Eye (2022)
Amazing gothic mystery movie, Bale is fantastic, as always!
Wonderful movie, the mood and photography are beautiful, bringing life to the desired gothic atmosphere one wants to have in such a film.
I was very curious, I am a great fan of Poe's work and this synopsis immediately caught my attention. I am also a huge Bale fan, another great reason for wanting to see this movie.
Bale performance is amazing (as it always is, the man is so talented) and the plot twists are fantastic.
It was also a good surprise to see Robert Duvall in this (he's 92 years old and still acting).
Mandatory to any Poe fan, highly recommended to everyone! I would be very happy if Netflix released more similar movies. Bravo!
