The Last Dance (2020)
Confusing with the time jumps
Loved the Last Dance series. Who wouldn't, it's Michael Jordan - he is just in incredible. Unfortunately I was so confused with the time line jumping back and forth and my hubby had to constantly pause it and explain. I'm unsure why it was created that way.
It would probably be fine to someone who already knows the timeline. But for me, I'm watching, but not remembering much of what happened those years. I'd give it a 10/10 rating if it wasn't for the time jumps.
Coach Phil Jackson is amazing and I especially enjoyed the behind the scenes interviews with him and when he was player. The locker room shenanigans was also great to watch.
Temptation Under the Sun (2022)
Cringey
I gave the 2 stars for the lead actress only because she acts fairly well. However no Detroit accent but she's a cop from Detroit PD. The rest of the actors, especially the lead actor struggled to pull off their character. I think he was cast because he has impeccable abs. Big 10/10 for that part!
Unfortunately the movie was cringier than the usual lifetime movies. In fact, it felt more like a Hallmark movie - especially when they were deserted on an island. I guess there's no reason to expect typical LMN dangerous scenes at a lake house! They're already on an island.
Full disclosure, I fast forwarded much of it so possibly the parts of the show were better during those scenes.
Big Lies in a Small Town (2022)
Very odd
The mother and daughter looked like sisters
It wasn't realistic. In the beginning I was confused. And where is the child's father? I may have missed that
I would've been on the phone with the FBI or gone to the media. I would not have gotten a motel room just to wait. The mom was working with an Andy Griffith sheriff that didn't believe her. And really....why would he? I don't think the mom ever cried. Or showed she was scared out of her mind.
LMN surprised me. The mom didn't actually manhunt the killer or break into a home, end up running through the woods (although there's a woods scene) Or end up at a lake house.
The Provocateur (2022)
Confused
If you try to take a story and relate to real life (could be possible) situations, then don't with this movie. Unless you take showers with men you just met and then leave it at that.
I hated the music. I had to mute it towards the end. It took over the scenes and I really didn't like the sound.
I thought the bad guy, Arnie did a great job. Next would be the artist, but all he had to do was stand with her shirt off and stare at the Dr.
I wanted to fix the Doctor's hair. The bangs were so distracting. I kept thinking she would have a hIre makeover at some point.
LMN did not disappoint. They managed to get a an attack at a lake scene.
