Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
One big waste of money and time
For someone who doesn't like science fiction movies, one Star Wars may be good but that's it. Star Wars is not only in my opinion, but as a fact, the biggest sorry excuse ever made in film history. I'll tell you why.
George Lucas wanted to be an auto racer when he was young. He got an accident and met up with Coppola. However, he never was a real director nor a REAL writter. Coppola was probable the only thing George could count on. His relationship with Coppola gave him a chance to a movie. After seeing Gordon's Heaven and the Planet of Apes, George Lucas decided to combine these two movies and make a clone out of it. The result was the first Star Wars movie. The story was didn't make any sense. It was probable the most stupid story ever written. The public was charmed with the special effects which where great in that time and that made them forgot about everything else. Mindless science fiction fans became Star Wars fans. George Lucas never ever made a movie that was a success; except Star Wars. The reason why there are so many Star Wars movies is because that's the only thing that George Lucas can make money out of it. Even Star Wars fans don't know other movies of George Lucas. I'm glad James Cameron teached George Lucas a lesson with Titanic.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones is a clone of other Star Wars movies. There is nothing new in it. If you have seen one Star Wars movie, you have seen them all.
Episode III will be out in 2005. I hope it will flop as much as this movie did.
Mortal Kombat: Conquest (1998)
Best TV-series ever!
Mortal Kombat always has a great story behind all the fighting. Mortal Kombat: Conquest takes you back where it all began.
MK Conquest has been misunderstood by many people when the series aired on TV. Most people who have seen the movies (and don't know much about Mortal Kombat) will wonder how it can be that the bad guys in the movies can be still alive in the series if the story in the series are like 1500 years ago ("Mortal" (remember?) Kombat). Others will wonder why the heroes in the movies are not in the series (they where not born yet). There are much more hesitations that people had with Mortal Kombat Conquest. What these people forget, is that the story of Mortal Kombat is big and complex. The fundemental and most important thing that made Mortal Kombat legendary is the fighting and story within it.
MK Conquest is in fact the best TV-serie ever made. The fighting techniques used in the series are extremely good. There was no single Mortal Kombat Conquest serie that was boring. Each serie was great and full of action.
The story, Taja (a thief), Siro (an ex-guard) and a Monk called Kung Lao are the good guys. Every bad guy in the movie wants Kung Lao dead because he won Mortal Kombat the last time and now they are afraid he will win again. The evil empiror Shao Kahn and the sorcerer Shang Tsung keep on trying to kill Kung Lao. This with a lot of things in the serie, make famous Mortal Kombat characters fight in the series. Sub-Zero, Scrorpion, Smoke, Reptile, Rayden, Chuan Chi, General Reiko are one of those famous MK characters you will see in the TV series.
If you are a MK fan, this will be a must. Others will enjoy it as well.
