Ni shi wo de rong yao (2021)
Pleasantly Addictive
As someone who's watched the show for no less than 10 times, I would like to share that this drama is officially in my all-time top 3 list of Chinese dramas!
The visuals are stunning, lead characters are played by highly talented actor and actress Yang Yang and Dilreba. Their chemistry in the show is just off the roof. I am not an e-sport fan but I could watch Yu Tu and Jing Jing play game all day due to their strong chemistry that's oozing out from each interaction they have.
Besides that, the plot underpins a much bigger concept of Yu Tu's career in astronomy. The ups and downs of his career is stirring - and towards the end there's even a perfect ending to it.
Wo de ren jian yan huo (2023)
Fine and Emotive Storytelling
I am pleasantly surprised and impressed by the firefighting and rescue scenes. The cast did a good job portraying the (almost) reality of firefighters and medical professionals' day-to-day.
My favourite parts are definitely Song Yan's strong bond with his colleagues and the relationship among his family members. The actor made Song Yan's macho yet kind and sensitive (and somewhat broken) personality shine. His micro expressions are amazing.
The two secondary characters, Suo Jun and Jiang Yu are very fun to watch as well.
The romance between Song Yan and Xu Qin is unfortunately less impressive as viewers are not given the full context of their past relationship given they still feel so strongly for each other even after 10 years of no-contact.
The show made me laugh and cry despite a few shortcomings. I'd definitely recommend and rewatch.
