Cherry (2021)
If I could give 0 stars, I would, came off very tone-deaf
2 hours and 22 minutes was just too long, 1 hour and 10 mins would be fine.
Could be done in 3 parts instead of chapters.
Russo's treated it like it was a Disney/Marvel film, all fluff and no depth. Tone-deaf like I said in the title of my review.
The main character was already dabbling in drugs before he even joined the military, this just pushed him over the edge.
Everyone experiences PTSD/trauma differently it's not a one size fits all, whether you are in the military or not.
Looks like they didn't even have a consultant besides the guy who wrote the book, needed a second consultant.
It feels like their trying to romanticize peoples struggles without actually acknowledging the root cause.
Knives Out (2019)
What a dumpster fire, didn't go anywhere
Rating this movie 1 star because 2 hours and 10 minutes is just too long, 0 stars for Rian Johnson for obvious reasons, but giving the cast 10 stars (that includes the location as well).
Went in with a open mind but man that was brutal. Where was the mystery, suspense, and thrill?? It took over 1 hour and 10 minutes for things to ramp up but never answered the questions.
Clue-board game, Clue-1985 movie, Columbo, and Murder, She Wrote were/are better this dumpster fire.
Endings, Beginnings (2019)
You know it's bad when you can't even finish your favourite Ben&Jerry's Ice Cream
Rating this movie 1 star because would rather go read/watch Nicholas Sparks books/movies repeatedly to make up for what I just saw.
It's understandable that you want to figure yourself out and life, great. Ruining friendships, manipulating, gaslighting, not taking responsibility for your actions, pretty much being a narcissist not cool.
Sebastian Stan and Jamie Dornan have life experience of being in their 30's so of course it's believable. But Shailene Woodley was cast to be a "30 something" yet she's still in her 20's, late 20's to exact and it shows. She doesn't even have that experience yet of being a 30 something.
Also for once it would be nice to see Sebastian Stan in a role where he's not just the "bad boy".
I now refer to this movie as "The movie that ruined my Ben&Jerry's Ice Cream, it was that bad"
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
It was a good movie
It was a good movie but there just too much hype surrounding it. I'm giving it 10 stars because of the cast.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
It was awesome!
Looked forward to watching this and was not disappointed.
