Day Shift (2022)
The Nazarian Bros need a spin-off asap
Day Shift has its moments. Only a couple unfortunately: the opening sequence and the house hive battle in the middle.
I can't grasp how someone writes a script about a vampire-hunting Union, for most of the movie depicts vamps as mindless fiends that must be put down, and then all of a sudden changes that and shows they can just choose not to be evil. Especially when those vamps are two of the worst characters in the film (if not ever), one of them barely qualifying as a character.
Just give the Nazarian Bros their own movie or TV series. They were exceptional ass kickers (Scott Adkins is always brilliant and Steve Howey held his own remarkly well), but also funny and charismatic, had great chemistry and played wonderfully off each other. Go back to vamps = evil. More action and less pointless exposition. Then you'll nail it.
American Assassin (2017)
More like American Time Killer
The plot couldn't be more generic if it tried.
The main character and the villain look very interchangeable.
Dylan O'Brien may be many things, but action hero he is not. The only thing he looks like he could kill is time.
Zero Tolerance (2015)
Shameless attempt to free ride on Scott Adkins and on 2 Guns
Terrible movie, with an awful lead and a rotten plot, where it's hard to root for anyone or anything.
Scott Adkins is featured first and centre on the poster, but in reality has a very small role.
The alternate title 2 Guns: Zero Tolerance suggests they tried to pass the film as a 2 Guns sequel as well.
