This movie is bad, it goes without saying. But, I have seen comedies that weren't this funny. Really? Sewer socks? A female villain that is a cross between Barbarella and Freddie Mercury? The only reason that it wasn't longer is that Kai had to be back at Chippendales by 6:00. The whole thing looked like it was filmed at William McKinley Jr. High with the art room making construction paper props. The grand total of three robots that comprise the mega population of robotum. Finally, the pasty white legs and tighty whities of the slaves used to feed the dark one. The whole thing looks like a Jazzercise class gone bad. Other than that, it was fantastic.

I don't understand why people are bashing this movie. I think I've read 20 reviews that ask, "Why do aliens need gold"? The answer: they don't have enough and they want some more. Who cares why they need gold? They do, and that's why they came to earth. The point in science fiction is not the science, it's the fiction. It's how people react to a previously unknown set of conditions.th. If they hadn't then the movie would be about thirty cowboys chasing baby bunnies through the desert.
BTW, gold is very valuable in electronics, as it conducts electricity very well, does not corrode, is very malleable, and has a relatively low melting point.
If you want to look for 100 technical plot holes in the movie, you can find them. If you want to call the ending improbable, you can. But calling the moving boring in inaccurate. I was totally enthralled for two hours.
This movie contains every cliché known to both cowboy and sci-fi movies. The gritty ex-officer, ugly aliens with no language skills. But it's still funny as hell to watch a spaceship chasing a guy on a horse.
Just go in and have fun for a while. Let the plot holes take care of themselves.
