I am not a huge anime fan,i watched some anime like Fullmetal Alchemist,One Punch Man and the subject of my review: Death Note. This movie is a " What if Death Note happened in America". My biggest problem with this movie was the change in the characters personalities and the way they behave. Instead of being a smart and cold blooded boy,here Light is a whiny,dumb boy. Instead of being calm and smart,L is agressive and makes many dumb decisions. I understand that they wanted to make Misa have a more important role,but it didnt worked. Ryuk was the only good character in the movie,William Dafoe did a great job even with the bad script. Instead of having the mind games of the original anime/manga,here we have a generic police thriller,with many car chases, shooting and explosions. If only they foccused on the mind games and investigation like the original anime/manga,this movie could've have been enjoyable.

The reason Beth Harmon is a good female character is because she is not a Mary Sue,despite being an amazing chess player she have many personal problems she must deal with. Beth gradually earned the respect from the men,and she grows a lot as the story progresses. It's a good series to watch if you want a good female lead that is not a cringy man hating feminist.
A weaker Terminator 2

This movie feels like a parody. John Connor here is a cry baby who refuses his destiny to become the leader of the resistence,he have a random wife for some reason,the T-850 is a parody of the T-800,he gives some cringy one liners such as "Talk to the hand" but at least he still have serious moments unlike Pops from Genysis. The T-X is a T-1000 rip off,the idea of having a female terminator is cool,but it wasnt well executed. Kristanna Loken did a decent job but nothing close to Robert Patrick in Terminator 2. The only logical way to watch this movie is turning off your brain, enjoy the action scenes and ignore the plot holes and the cringy moments. This movie is just a cashgrab,just like all the other sequels after T2.

After Terminator 2,the quality of the movies have gone downhill. This series was a sequel to Terminator 2,showing John and Sarah trying to escape from new terminators and the government as well. This series did right everything the sequels failed to do. A serious plot with John and Sarah being persecuted not only by the terminators but the government as well,amazing villains like Cromartie, good female Terminators like Cameron and Weaver. They should have given this series a last season instead of cancelling it,such a wasted potential.

A modern Psycho origin story

This series is a origin story for Psycho,set in the modern day,showing how a young Norman Bates became a killer. The best thing about this series is how it shows Norman's mental health becoming progressively worse. Aside from Norman's problematic relationship with his mother and brother,the series have many secondary plots about crimes that happens on the city,some that are connected with Norman and his mother,and his brother as well. It's a very well done series,Freddie Highmore did a great job as Norman Bates,the rest of the cast did a great job as well. If you loved the 1960 Psycho movie you should give this series a try.

The earlier seasons of The Walking Dead were great,the writters cared about the series,the actors loved it,the fans loved it as well. Sadly the series is being milked too much nowadays,with many spin offs the fans don't care about,and the quality of the main series dropped. Many older fans dropped the series,many beloved actors left the series. A main reason for the decline in quality was the deviance from the comics,killing important characters that were supposed to be alive such as Carl and Andrea,that never were killed in the comics,but the writters of the TV series decided to kill them. There is no hope for this series,the only thing that matters to AMC is money,they will milk this series as long as its lucrative.

In a world that people with superior genetics are in the top of society,would you fake your identity in order to achieve your dreams ? This movie makes us think about this,is it a right thing to do ? The main character Vincent have a inferior genetic,he is a invalid,he would never be able to achieve his dream to go to space if he didn't assumed the identity of Jerome,a valid,a human with superior genetic. This movie portrays the themes of prejudice ,inferiority and morality in a very serious way,it's a very refreshing sci-fi that is not focused on action.

Nowadays Psycho might be seen as a not so special movie because most people know the famous plot twist even without watching it. But when it was released it was very inovative,serial killer movies weren't as popular in the 60's as they were in the late 70's and 80's. Psycho gave birth to the slasher genre,Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween in the late 70's, Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on elm Street in the 80's,all these titles were heavly influenced by Psycho. The movie still holds up very well,mainly because of Anthony Perkins amazing acting as Norman Bates,it's worth watching for it's influence on slasher and thriller/horror in general.

The only difference between this movie and any other romance movie is the Titanic setting. Rose is the typical selfish teenage girl,she sleeps with a guy that she just met,she cheats on her fiancee. This movie tries to glorify cheating and its disgusting. The ending is stupid,Jack could've survived,there was enough space on that piece of wood for both Jack and Rose,but obviously jack had to die to make a sad ending.
Killed the franchise for me

Friday the 13th is a generic 80's slasher franchise,but at least these movies were fun to watch. This movie however,made me feel anger and depression instead of happiness. The title of the movie already spoils the fact that Jason is going to New York,but 1 hour of the movie is foccused on Jason killing random teens on a boat. When Jason finally arrives in New York,the last 30 minutes show him chasing the survivors of the boat around the city. This movie is a downgrade in all the ways. The VFX is worse than all the previous movies,Jason is more friendly for some reason,the kills are not as good as the previous movies,the characters are boring. The ending makes no sense,jason is destroyed by toxic water,but becomes a child again for some reason,or maybe that was just his spirit,i don't know. This movie is not entertaining,if you want to have fun ,watch all the movies from part 1 to 7 ,don't watch this movie and the others that came after. The only good thing about it is the soundtrack.

People who call this movie a masterpiece are crazy,this movie have great VFX but what about the rest ? This movie doesn't have an story,but i expected it to have an objective the main character would want achieve at least. This movie is empty,its souless,it only have great VFX and nothing else. This movie is all about visual spetacle,if you want a good story or a entertaining journey go watch something else.

The main problem with this movie is that The Thing doesn't behave like The Thing. In the 1982 version,The Thing loved to hide behind an imitation,to made it's victims paranoid. In this movie The Thing reveals itself all the time. The VFX is bad,it looks like an unfinished early PlayStation 3 game,originally they were going to use practical effects but decided to use CGI instead,bad decision. This movie is too foccused on action,the 1982 version had action moments with the flamethrowers but it was foccused on the paranoia and distrust of the group,this movie sh*** on everything that made the 1982 The Thing a classic cult horror movie. If you loved the 1982 version i don't reccomend watching this prequel.

Since Terminator 2 the quality of this franchise kept dropping,the only exception was the TV series The Sarah Connor Chronicles,which was cancelled unfortunately. The writters had the stupid Idea of killing John in the first minutes,this stupid idea destroyed the whole point of the second movie. To replace John, a short,weak girl called Dani is now the main character,because feminism,and a androgynous cyborg called Grace is her protector. Sarah Connor and Arnold(T-800) join them to defeat the T-1000...i mean the Rev-9. Arnold(T-800) and Sarah are just parodies now,the new characters are boring Mary Sues,and the new villain Rev-9 is a bad T-1000 rip off mixed with the spider man's symbiote for some reason. Don't watch this movie if you are a terminator fan.

Why people are still hyping Star Wars ? Since Disney bought the franchise the quality dropped completly. The prequels had problems but at least they had George's heart and soul in them,Disney Star Wars is just souless cashgrab.
