Transformers: Earthspark (2022)
Really love this series
I have very fond memories of the old Transformers series and this one is another great one to add to the collection. Definitely will be showing this one to my kids when they're old enough. For me, this series was a very comforting show and something easy to watch when I felt a bit under the weather. I felt like a kid watching Saturday morning cartoons eating cereal while in blankets.
In a separate note, I would like to cover the Nightshade "controversy" and how people seem to be in a tizzy over a robot having a gender. It seems very petty in my opinion that anyone would find that controversial in the first place. Robots don't have a gender functionally speaking so even having genders for them seems nonsensical in itself...but I really don't see the issue if a robot wants one or doesn't want one. Like who cares. Is it really so life altering that people want to be and express who they feel they are. Let alone a robot say who they are. How does a robot saying they have or don't have a gender even impact your life. I dunno but people are just crazy nowadays and will go insane if you say a robot doesn't or I guess does have a gender.
Buckaroo: The Movie (2005)
It means well but the acting is on par with The Room
The acting is so bad that it feels like my brain is melting with every passing second. The message is good but it is incredibly mind numbing to watch. Lots of unnecessary and weirdly long shots. The quality of it is similar to incredibly bad Hallmark or Christian movies. If you've seen one you've seen 'em all.
