Detectorists (2014)
Disappointed
I watched this on a whim because I like Toby Jones but I was disappointed. The cast wasn't at all inclusive considering this came out in 2014. This screamed BBC comedy and not in a good way. I don't understand why Andy went back to Becky she kept belittling his passion and she was very unlikeable. Why would you give up your passion for someone like that? Lance's comments about women not being collectors were really sexist, clearly the writers never met a neurodivergent woman. Really disappointed with this, it wasn't all funny and quite frankly sexist in parts. I don't understand how the rating is so high on here. I wont be watching the next series of this.
Hard Cell (2022)
Pleasantly surprised
Watched this on a whim but I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely something new for Catherine Tate, I have never seen her write drama before and I hope there is another series of it, I would definitely watch it if there was. Catherine Tate plays more than one character and she played them all so well!! I thought all the characters were pretty well developed and the story was something I have seen before but it was well written. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed mockumentaries like The Office & What We Do In The Shadows. My favourite characters were Ros & Laura both played by Catherine Tate.
Rammstein: Paris (2017)
Outstanding band but terrible cinematography terrible
I love Rammstein they are my favourite bands and I love this concert too but the editing and camera work during the concert footage really is poor on this film. The fades between shots and the laying of shots makes the concert look like something out of the 90s. Cinematography aside though the music and song selection is outstanding.
