Worst movie I've seen.
15 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I actually taped this movie so I could watch it when I had the time. Suffice it to say that the set's built for filming this all looked the same and had no creativity. The acting wasn't too bad albeit repetitive. I was hopeful the movie was at some point going to become interesting. But I lost that hope. The CGI effects weren't too bad, however everything was filmed in a darkened mode so any mistakes were unseen for the Most part. So as the movie progresses you hope that certain actors will survive to no avail. Then as we near the ending of this extremely sub-par production, we realize that there are little to no survivor except for the CGI monster chasing the lone escaping survivor. That's all taken care of at the where that person is also killed by the CGI monster. This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Save your time Please. I gave it a very generous 1 of 10.

Country Strong I mean "Weak".
13 June 2019
Do you know that you can read a book in less than half the time it normally takes? Just read the first paragraph and then the first line of all subsequent paragraphs and you will know the book. Well that's this movie. It's story, is so very predictable it's not worth watching the whole movie. You know what's happening next and you know how it's going to end. A big waste of time. It lacked the "Big Impact" I was waiting for. The cast was good but lacked ANY chemistry. It's just a simple and typical country story. I was being generous in my rating.

The worst movie I've ever watched! Insulting to Dog lovers.
7 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I'm a dog lover so I watched this movie. Halfway into watching this movie I began to wonder if there was going to be a story line or is a monster going to manifest. But nothing ever happened. A meteor crashes to Earth and little green lights hover around various farms and other areas affecting the animals, mainly dogs. The dogs become violent, attack and kill people. The acting was punishing. They must have used all their friends to fill the roles. The best acting in this movie was...........THE DOGS. You want more? There is none. That's the movie. Sorry but like I said, it's the worst movie I've ever watched. How did the makers get the money to make this? If it's that easy, I've got ideas for movies that would run circles around this movie.

Another anti American movie
20 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
A well acted spy movie with ulterior motives. In the end you'll yearn to dislike the American government. I believe that is what the movie is really about. The story-line is nothing new or unusual and is extremely predictable. As each scene plays out the viewer is all too familiar with what will happen next. Still worth watching as who doesn't dislike the American government in some form or another? It's just too predictable in scene after scene so I gave it it's lowest possible rating. I felt cheated in the end after spending the time to watch this movie.

Worst movie ever!
11 March 2018
Hey Rob Hey Rob Hey Rob Hey Rob Hey Rob, Rob Rob Roooobbbbb

If I hear those words again, I'm going to smash my T.V. "Hey Rob" was yelled more times than I can count. The acting in this movie was pathetic, with all the heavy breathing and every scene being predictable. There was absolutely no creativity in any part of the movie. Even the C.G.I was unbelievable. This movie makes my top ten list of the worst movies ever made. If you have not watched this movie, Please don't waste your time.

Worst movie on planet earth
3 November 2017
If you're here, you may have already seen this movie. And you probably feel cheated for watching it. It seems like a nepotism filled cast of characters that are not being held to any standards or direction. The word quality never made it to this script. So, was it a comedy? Was it an adventure? Just what was it? Whatever it was, it was filled with worthless scenes and empty acting. I'm willing to bet that some of the actors were sorry for doing this movie. It was BAD.

pathetic and boring
22 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen thousands of movies and this was the worst one of them all. If this were a Documentary, it might have worked. But the never ending incessant dialogue killed this as a movie. Read other reviews and you'll understand, but please don't waste your time watching this pathetic and boring piece of film.

Brake (I) (2012)

"Brake" Really? "Contains a Spoiler."
5 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Most people done't read reviews until (after) they've seen the movie. So I had to say, this is one of the worst movies I've seen. Sorry, but it really was predictable and slow.

A movie named "Buried", is extremely similar but at least worth watching. Brake, was very predictable and repetitive. And the end of this movie was terrible. Did I say the end was TERRIBLE???????????

I have written very very few reviews. So for me to add a review means that I (really) did not like this one. Where the hell did they get the funding for this trash? There must be someone out there who needed to throw money away or just wanted to say they made a movie regardless if it was a good or bad movie.

Twisted (I) (2004)

Stayed "Twisted" in my chair.
31 March 2013
I know this movie has many bad reviews. However,I found it suspenseful and it kept me in my chair. Yes, it was obvious in many ways, and one or two scenes were contrary to anybody's logic, but what movie doesn't have a few of those.

So I kept watching as it had many twists and turns to keep me interested. No pun intended. I kept guessing who the bad guy was or wasn't, and I was surprised more than once.

I already like Ashley Judd, Andy Garcia and Samuel Jackson, so maybe I'm just a tiny bit biased. But I'm honest in my scoring, and I watch more than my share of movies.

Although, I just watched it for the first time in March 2013, it's a 2004 release. I don't know how I missed this one when it was released.

I enjoyed it very much. Overall, "That's Entertainment".

My Brothers Wife.
7 September 2012
Without writing boring redundant reviews and quotes. I would simply say I watch dozens of movies on a monthly basis, and this is the first "Subtitled" movie I've ever watched from beginning to end.

I was simply hypnotized, and before I knew it, the movie was over.

It did have a few predictable scenes but hey what movie doesn't. It could have been a little longer to enlighten or explain a few things like the husbands background, but oh well...

This is a movie very definitely worth your time. I'd recommend watching it with your better half whomever that may be.:)

I'm going to buy this one and watch it again. Another first for me.

Visit the Movie Location
22 February 2012
If you're interested in this type of stuff. You can actually visit the movie location for "Ace in the Hole." The movie was great and I loved Kirk Douglas. I gave the movie a 10. So if you would like to visit where this movie was made, it's still there.

I believe this movie had one or two other titles before it's release. One of them I believe was "The Big Circus". I know there was "The big Carnival", but I do believe one of the other titles in the running was "The Big Circus".

The Movie was shot at Indian Ruins, located on old route 66 just alongside US 40, exactly on the New Mexico/Arizona state border.

Not much has changed. The cave area still looks almost exactly the same. And the open surrounding fields are still wide open and the Indian Ruins are still there.

Progress has not yet taken over this area like most tourist locations. Of course there are some tourist attractions, but the mystery of the Indian ruins and New Mexico Desert still have a sacred ambiance. It's simply a unique area. Visit there with an open mind and experience the tranquility of the area. It's like going back in time.

If you go....Have fun...:)

An Intellectual Exercise
21 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Outstandingly written and directed movie, that many people simply won't like. It has some overly acted scenes but is easily understood if you know the actors' style. The passion that they portray in this movie seems overdone, but still amazing. At times, it's confusing, illogical and angry but again, amazing. Regardless, I could hardly wait to see what would happen next. There's jealously, sex, infidelity and death. Some of which is way ahead of it's time in 1959.

Angry was Burton. Reviewing movies just to write for the negatives in their reviews, like EdwardC, (37), all reviews are one star except two, is similar to the role Burton was playing.
