The Gray Man (2022)
A great Netflix film that was kinda overbudgeted.
They definitely payed the vfx people too much. The cgi looks like a video games for a few scenes making a total of maybe 20 minutes. The acting is amazing. There are many details added like sfx and just realistic effects. To add, the protagonist gets hurt multiple times, as well as gets slowed a bit, he's not a god. Recommend it for sure.
The Black Phone (2021)
Beautiful
Amazing film tbh. Not a lot of cheesy jumpscares. It's a dragging thriller like the popular YouTube short film "SCP:Overlord". It's intense throughout the whole film and there isn't a whole lot of unnecessary conversations. The editing and quality is great. The acting is perfect except the sister has weird talking moments. CGI is decent. Intensity is for sure there. The sound is beautiful. Overall watch it. The film is gorgeous and somewhat realistic.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Incredible
Amazing movie especially in 4d. Worth the pricey tickets. Constant intensity and action, and amazing story. There's drama, action, and thrilling scenes. Absolutely loved it. Trust me, 4d is the best pick, it wont affect motion sicken people too much (from exp).
Ambulance (2022)
underrated
Its completely underrated. (Sodm shots did seem unprofessional) The camera work is comepletely fine. The reason it wasnt cinematic at some shots and angles was for the feeling of it. Some shots made it less cinematic but more intense. Insane and realistic story, people just dont like realistic. Mix feelings of hatred, intensity, sadness, etc.
The Boys: The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies (2022)
Best
One of the best shows ever. A parody of many things but instead of funny it's eerie, gruesome, intense, and extremely entertaining. Gets better each season.
First Kill (2022)
Almost terrible
This is probably the worst series I have seen so far. The script is pretty bad. The cameras they used has so much motion blur it hurts my eyes. Some shots remind me of a low quality spanish tv series. The acting are quite bland sometimes. The cgi is alright for a not so high budget series. It reminds me of Smallville's cyi but worse. And back to the acting, some lines or actions are kind of corny and unrealistic. As well as annoying.
Host (2020)
Pretty good for a low-budget
It's decent for a few scares, especially towards the end. It drags thrills from the middle in a good way. The acting is great. Some unexpected events. Filmed in the U. K during LOCKDOWN and most of their reactions in the film were real according to the interviews. Overall: Amazing for a low-budget film.
Choose or Die (2022)
Honesty
The low reviews are very picky and wannabe-professionals. A short and honest review on this film is; not the best thriller, but good enough to still put on when you have almost nothing to watch. The story is alright and the camera work is off in some parts. Plus, the writer made this as his first movie. Don't expect to be scared, it's an interesting thriller not a jump-scare supernatural eyes-closing horror film.
